CJH replacement

First, fire Heupel and see what high profile coaches mentioned prior to this post show any interest at all. Zero! All the retread project coaches would be the only bin to choose from. Heup needs to just stay aggressive and develop new wrinkles on offense…then go find a bad a$$ DC. I don’t like what I saw out of our defense this season, but it is fixable with the right guy(s) on the defensive side of this.

my question remains..

It's like trying to talk to a toddler.

(sigh) Okay, I went and did the numbers for you...

CJH is 37-15 at UT. In the SEC, he's 20-12. In post-season, he's 2-2.

Annnnd, against Top 25 teams (at the time they played), he's 11-14.

'scuse me, dropped my sippy cup. Be right back...

Wrong. Kiffin has a better record than Huepel and has gone 11-1 in a stronger conference. Tennessee is a stronger brand than Ole Miss. He would not leave twice.
A stronger brand he ditched for another brand. A man who is threatening to poach players from Ole Miss if they don’t let him coach the playoffs.

And barely has a better record. I’d take the most trustworthy coach and an extra loss or two. But please don’t let stats blind you from your emotional rant over an ex coach you love so dearly.

He is playing with Georgia Tech whom he accomplished a dub against Georgia with. Something Tennessee has yet to accomplish, and something Elmo’s best Duke team would never have accomplished. Elko seems to be doing fine at A&M. Is he my first choice? No, but it Huepel left, I’d give him a serious look considering what else is out there. He’ll, my first choice was Kiffin when we hired Huepel, but everyone scoffed at that notion as well.
That’s the same argument people use hiring mid major coaches. (Think what they could do with Tennesssee’s reputation and resources) Then they all turn into Billy Napier and Dooley. I’ll had pass on the mid tier ACC coach.

7+11+9+10+8=45

6+2+4+3+3=18

Your math aint mathing champ. If that is you “doing the numbers for us” I truly hope you hire somebody to do your taxes or at least you stay away from cash register work. You’d be robbing the customer blind with that math work.

Dude, you're embarrassing yourself.

I know you don't like answering questions, but I'll ask another...what is the stronger conference that Kiffin in?

I’m too old to embarrass myself, think what you want… but since YOU ASKED. What I meant, DUDE, is a stronger conference (than it was).

And judging by your question…
what is the stronger conference that Kiffin in?
…you seem confused.

Kiffin is in our same conference.

Dooley was a foolish hire. He never beat Georgia. Napier was a worse hire. He never beat anybody. Apples to oranges Hairy Vol

You must be young. Anyways, no emotion here, but I’m sorry I got in your feels. Facts are facts. Kiffin is the better coach. Period.

It was posted that Heup was not himself at the after game presser.

Were any of us ourselves after that game? No. We were pissed and angry. People reading too much into it. They really wanted him to come out smiling and "we played hard but didn't execute, blah blah blah" lol

When did Key beat Georgia?

Like how you dismiss my age because you have no rebuttal. You can look at my PFP if you wanna see my age bud. I show my face when making these comments because I stand behind what I say.

Yep, you're right. I used the UT website, and must have fat-fingered the calculator. Using ESPN, I get 45-19 overall, and 24-16 in the SEC. Far as I can tell, the Top 25 numbers are good.

So at a 70% clip overall, 60% against the SEC, and 44% against Top 25 teams, we've obviously got the guy that Danny White talked about at his introductory press conference...5 years ago.

It's on YouTube. Go watch it. Great stuff.

Right now, we need to be hoping CJH does what needs to be done to get this program back in fighting trim.

If he doesn't then we can cue the buzzard party after next season.

Now ain't the time to change.

Now there you have a point. I thought they had beaten Georgia, but I forgot Georgia ripped their hearts out last year in OT like they did ours this year. It was close the year before too, but same result.

So your point of hiring him was really just two losses? Got it.

Stoops 3.0, Better than the KY. version of 2.0 ,but not on the level as 1.0. Let's just ride this out,he has a min. Of 2 yrs. Left unless we have a losing record in 26.
Also...no school is after him...lol
