I used to think it was my personal responsibility to correct everyone who is ever wrong on the internet.

Thank the Lord I dissuaded myself of that. Once you realize no one else's wrong-thinking is at all your responsibility to correct, you can just let people be as wrong as they want as often as they want. It's freeing.

This is not a response to anything specific on this board or anywhere else. Just something that's helped me that I thought might help someone else.

Good point. Additionally as I’ve aged I have come to realize that I might actually be the one who is ultimately wrong. A little humility never hurt anyone. I frequently fail at this. Now back to trashing Kiffin and worrying about Heupel leaving us at the alter.

Heupel also wasn't really on anyone's list. We got him because of the DW connection. We would be rolling the dice big time right now because we'd be last in the musical chairs.

We have sanctions through 28.... we aren't as attractive as you think

You can’t spend the way we have and go 8-4 while beating zero good teams. And get blown out by Bama and Vandy. Any big program will have some coaches getting fired. Because it is unacceptable.

I would think Heupel would want to overhaul the entire defensive side. It’s been five years and we have only fielded one good defense. It’s time to move on and upgrade. Only Coach on defense that is worth keeping is Garner and he may want a different situation.

Good post. FWIW the obese need to pay for two seats. Had this same problem for years in the row we were in. A lot of folks cannot stand for the whole game and should not have to.

This is one reason I just stay home and watch the game now. Took two kids to the game and they only took about one seat between them and even then I was hanging off the end seat. because of people who were seriously overweight. Neyland wants as many people in the seats as possible, but the seats and bathroom are not designed for extreme overweight.

I want to ask everyone who is questioning the future of the football program right now and predicting things like averaging 9 wins to look again at our recruiting class and look at the other classes ranked in the same neighborhood as ours. Realize that it represents new NIL $ into football that wasn't there a couple of classes ago. And it's not just football. Look at the basketball roster.

The $ is there and is not going away. It just seems to increase. And watch the portal this year too. I bet we nail it. But it won't rank high because most of the teams that will, have a lot more work to do in the portal than we do.

I’m happy about this recruiting class assuming we hold it together. It’s the most important aspect along with gameday coaching. We also need improved development and better S&C which I believe will have to come from new coordinators and assistants.
