Dear Memphis,

Take this as my personal recommendation.

Tim has been with UT for 6 years. He has been a Broyle’s award finalist. He had a year where Tennessee defense was feared.

On a personal note, he has been involved with no incidents involving coeds that are public and no known law enforcement involvement.

You could do much worse than Tim, you do not want someone like Bobby Petrino for your job.

Tim Banks is a candidate for the Memphis job, per the Memphis Commercial Appeal reporter.

I wouldn't be opposed to us throwing memphis a couple mill to take him.

I'm not sure this Heupel to PSU should be ignored.

If I was him, I’d be pushing hard for that job. They pay well, he restarts his clock, and he would be in a league with only three other programs (OSU, Michigan, IU) that realistically should be able to stand in the way of a yearly playoff birth. Much easier setup than what we’re facing, especially with next year’s schedule being a gauntlet.

Would put us in a tough spot. Not a good time to be hiring a coach after how the carousel has gone.

This is what we really need. A true GM. It’s worked really well for Oklahoma this year. And as college sports become more about roster management, we need someone dedicated to this.

We have one from people in the know. Billy High. It's apparently not making a difference.

I wish I agreed. I don’t think that the DL is living up to its billing. One safety spot is in flux. The OL is great… when healthy. There are 3-4 injuries now. Stockton had been playing at a high level, but he has struggled more recently.

OSU is my pick. I hate it.

It was in regards to the best team in the SEC. Not the country lol.

But yes, OSU is definitely the best team. UGA is really good tho

I hate to be dramatic but this is a fork in the road moment. They'll have to be strategic in staff management and roster management. They'll have to be creative in NIL management. There is a lot to do. I am hopeful, I want them to figure it out. But it's def a test and an early indicator

No chance Heup fires Banks, and if Garner leaves he will just promote from within again. Unless other teams come calling for our coaches expect a repeat, minus Garner, so worse d line play. But at least we will spare our coaches feelings being hurt.

Marion Hobby. That’s an easy replacement. There are other areas that need more fixes.

A statement that this team is fragile and can and has fell apart from one play going sideways.

It would have been bad for us before everyone hired their coach. Now the coaching pool is even shallower.

On the bright side, we could finally make that Gundy hire happen!

Well, depending on the next few days, UT may have to dive heavy into the portal for a lot of the roster if many of the coaches go elsewhere before signing day.

This portal season will be incredibly aggressive with guys commanding way more NIL than they are probably worth. Lots of new staffs filling/fixing their rosters. It will be a challenge to navigate.
