I’m almost reaching the point of not caring anymore. I hope they figure it out. My initial reaction is they need to stack top 5 classes multiple years in a row and that will fix it but that hasn’t happened here since Fulmer.

Hell, the one good defense cam because we played a once in a lifetime procession of absolutely terrible offensive teams. Arnold for Oklahoma, Milroe for Bama, all terrible until we got smoked by Ohio State.
I realize that. I will say you're going to have some not so good games in the course of a season. I'll give him some credit for that year but he's been here 5 is the biggest problem.. He's very mid for what he's getting paid.

Probably won't with the competition in recruiting these days. He hasn't cracked the top 5 yet in 5 years so I have my doubts..

I believe it has more to do with the talent. He didn't forget how to coach in a year. And recruiting is different with NIL. Recruiting and transfer portal needs to be better. All coaches

You can have less talent and still tackle and be in position. Be honest, on 3rd down, do you ever feel confident in a stop? Especially with a mobile QB.

You think we have the 16th most talented defense in the SEC? Because that’s where we rank on defense.
I think our defense has no size, speed or force. So it is just kinda out there. If we don't get pressure or a turnover, then we're **** out of luck. We don't have any big boys. We don't have any hitters. We don't have any playmakers. So I think it's an average as fukk defense. It isn't good enough to win anything. The stats are what they are. The stats would be better if we had better players however.

It's time. Martinez goes too.
This is an ignorant take and I don’t understand why so many people here believe it. He’s done a great job with McCoy, Gibson, Hood, and Redmond. It’s not his fault that the DC has our corners lining up 15 yards off the ball. Our problems on defense are schematic, not play development and technique.

I think a big factor is the talent level and the fact that our offense moves so quickly. It’s a perfect storm for a DC. Not saying they shouldn’t make a change but that’s a lot to overcome.

Is it the players fault the middle is wide open consistently? Thats a schematic mistake. If it’s not, then sit the ones who continually make the same mistakes. Refusing to put a spy on Pavia after the half is a schematic mistake.
