Oh I agree. This is why I don’t think rankings should happen until really late in the season. No shot a&m is a top 3 team and now they’ll probably still stay pretty close to the top 5. But you have to “penalize” teams for losing to bad teams just as teams that don’t win against good teams should be penalized

They beat 3 top 15 teams. I would be hopeful if I were a fan, too. If we are being honest, they have a better resume than ND and with a common opponent. But ND wins the eye test (and the ND test).

What if you punish them for losing to a bad Florida team? Is that okay? Beating TAMU doesn't erase that loss.

Yup! I mean if SC didn’t have the worst coach in college football, A&M already has a loss. Clown lost up 31 at half. But I secretly love it ha

Wait, WHAT?? They should be complaining more about having the Yell boys representing their team than having a one lose team going into the playoffs. Act like you’ve been here before and be glad you’re not going to the SEC Championship. Conference championship is losing its luster fast in the new CFB championship.

You don't really need a super conference. Just get the Power 4 conferences to agree to play other Power 4 teams for their OOC games. Sure, there will still be some questionable games, but it'll still be college football rather than semi-pro ball.

The CFP said every game is equal. They ignore it, but they said it was their job. It is only by granting Bama impunity or crookedness in that respect that Bama is "lucky" -- because the first week doesn't matter at all now, supposedly.

Pre- and early-season ranking suck and should be eliminated, I agree. They bias the CFP's opinion and placement. But after criminal Michigan ran the CFP last year after their team and AD making a mockery of the playoffs the year before (with the active help of the NCAA and the CFP) no one expects anything but BS from them.

That said, Bama's preseason ranking is what helped Bama so much. Bama started 8 (high) so when they were blown out the first week they did not fall out of polls -- through no merit of their own. They fell to 20. Then they beat the bad team that is Wisconsin (whoop de do) and jumped immediately right back up to 8 where they started. At 1-1. Teams ranked lower preseason are punished all year for that low preseason estimate. Teams ranked high are advantaged.

If they make that kind of jump..then you know why 🫰🏽🤑🫰🏽 personally I’d be shocked if they do

There would have to be some upsets and flukes for a 3-loss team to make it in this season IMO. Texas scored a great win, but I think it's too little too late.

I'm just ready to end Vandy's playoff hopes tomorrow.

I think it's possible Bama could win tomorrow and lose in the SEC CG and be left out. But, if any 3-loss team makes it in, it would be Bama after getting their third loss in the SEC CG. I really hope they get left out. They would lose their minds.
