Lea just signed a 6 year extension. Ain’t leaving anytime soon.
From a business standpoint, not a good move on his part. He's got the oldest roster in the SEC with over 40 seniors, a large % are grad transfers. If he doesn't restock with transfers, Vandy will descend to the bottom of the SEC next year and likely stay there. Wonder what his buyout is in the new contract?

Yeah, that makes sense. You’d think one would try to make hay while the sun is still shining. I guess it’s possible that he just likes his job.🤷🏻‍♂️

That’s the way it used to be for sure. But it’s a different world nowadays. Whole lot easier to restock if you have the right backing. In addition to a salary hike, these new deals are including guaranteed bumps in money to buy players and I’m sure he got some of that too.

Yeah I had a UGA grad in my house this morning. Told him I think they can win it all. I do wish we would have had another shot at you guys though. Good luck. Beat OSU if you cross paths.
I know when we’ve gotten lucky, and we got all kinds of lucky this year. I’m pulling for y’all tomorrow.

The real key is how much longer is he going to be able to keep Jerry Kill around before his health issues pop up again

Few people mention that particular aspect of
Vandy's success the last few years. It has been done mostly with the Jerry Kill and his kids from New Mexico State.

Face it, Vandy primarily fielding the NMSU team from 2023 with more experience and has their coach on the sidelines lol.

Those kids are mostly gone next year
