I think it shows that even in the ultimate cutthroat business of big time college football, simply being nice and well-liked by the right people can go a long way.I wonder if what got Billy Napier fired at Florida was the fact he just wasn't abusive enough. I don't think it was up to Florida's high standards of abusive head coaches.
Billy was by far the worst-performing head coach they've had post-Urban but he had the longest amount of time in the job. The best performing coach they had (Mullen) got the least amount of time, and he's pretty well-known in the industry as a difficult guy.
