Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

This Gator Raid guy on Swamp 247 came out of absolutely nowhere to suddenly have inside sources on the Florida side of the Lane Kiffin search. It's beyond obvious to me the guy is a fake insider. I don't know if he has been fed anything by anyone but most of what he posts is a reaction to publicly available information and almost all conjecture. He has that entire board convinced he's a legit insider and Lane Kiffin is 99.9% coming. Not coaching in the playoffs, even though Lane says he's coaching the rest of the year.

MOUs have been signed then weren't signed actually and when people call out the inconsistencies they are 100% prepared to accept any explanation no matter how nonsensical, and thank you. How could that have not been more obvious?

It's all going to end badly for him. He has bet on a hunch that Kiffin is going to think the Florida job is better than LSU AND where he is. Tick tock.

Has anyone else heard that Sumrall is holding Auburn up to see what Kiffin does and whether Ole Miss will come open? It's out there, just wondering who's saying it.

Georgia message board posters said yesterday that because Daniels wasn’t a starter, had been passed by some freshmen, and was headed to the portal next month, Kirby would can him. 😂

Yesterday I saw a Georgia fan say that they don't care if Jared Curtis goes to Vandy because it's statistically likely he will end up street racing while drunk or running from the Cops. It reminded me that Baker Mayfield did that once at Oklahoma and didn't really face any repercussions so it's probably okay to hang onto Curtis.

The only smart thing Jeremy Pruitt ever did was letting Jennings back on the team.

Jennings was undoubtedly my favorite player of the 2010s

He’s one of my all time favorites, but the 2010s had a few more good ones, including Dobbs and Barnett. Lot of wasted talent in that decade, including Alvin Kamara.

I mean its a song, certainly not my fave. Certainly not one I seek out to listen too. It isnt worst song.
I don't like it either. It grates me. It's trying to be something and it tries too hard and isn't nearly clever enough. The melody is basic and I get that it's singable, but I just don't like it.

So which team's orange is Bruce wearing right now?

I like Bruce less now that he's doing this and not at Auburn somehow. Also I expect his son to fail spectacularly which will be a lot of fun to watch. And he engineered that coming joy for me. So I have nothing but gratitude towards Bruce Pearl. The world is so much better off he didn't go into politics!

I really am glad that men are starting to understand what therapy and counseling can do for you. It's not admitting you're weak or that you have a problem, it's speaking to a professional who has spent years researching and studying how the mind works.

Before therapy I was completely lost. Booze, drugs, eating like ****, looking like **** etc. Since starting therapy about 16 months ago I have lost 60 lbs, got a new job, quit drinking, got engaged and went back to UT (online) where I have a semester GPA of 3.8. Maybe I'm lucky and I just got a good one, but this lady has helped me completely turn my life around.

Don't be afraid of asking for help, gentlemen. It might save your life.
This is an amazing story. May God continue to bless your journey.

I think that was why I was confused on who the guy was a fan of or whatever.

Apparently there a huge feud between the Florida On3 mods and the LSU On3 mods. I want to sign up over there just so I can read what's going on. Might do that in a minute. Probably worth it for the entertainment value. Especially if it can entertain folks here too.

Shannon Terry runs a tight ship. You have Rivals guys and On3 guys saying completely different things on the same subject sometimes. 247 is still a more stable company I think. Because, you know, Shannon Terry isn't the boss there anymore.

And bring us volquest nugs as well

I don't ever remember thinking while Alvin Kamara was on the team we didn't use him enough. Jalen Hurd was a darn good SEC running back right up until the point he got tired of the abuse and wanted to switch positions. It's a shame he got hurt as soon as he got to the league and then hurt again. That is not in your favor if you're a borderline NFL player. Also not sure if he was the same guy after the injuries. But we all loved Jalen Hurd while he was bulldozing folks and were giddy that we really had two starting RBs. They split time if Hurd didn't usually end up with more yardage. Sometimes he was hot.

I think we all just look back on that era and think we should have achieved more which might be true considering the talent, but there was a lot going against us at that time that is no longer a problem at UT. So there's a tendency to think Kamara was misused. Could he have taken on more? Certainly. But we had the luxury of having two guys.
