Can’t be Saban. Needs to be someone with credibility across the whole country, someone with ties to the southeast, midwest, mountain west… and impeccable football credentials.

Norvell is already making $10m a year, but he and FSU worked out a deal where he donates 4.5m of his salary to a new Florida State initiative...so why would they want to fire him when he's basically only being paid 5.5m or so.

They're going to ride with him until the donors/boosters put some money up to actually help improve the program.

I mean they have the 14th ranked class in 2026 and it was 19th ranked in 2025, 12th in 2024, 20th in 2023....considering how "down" that program is I'm pretty surprised he's been recruiting top 20 classes.

Crazy how things work out. Wasn’t he one of our higher rated OL (besides Sanders).

Edit: looked it and he was a top 10 OT and top 100 overall on 247. He is also still fairly young. This is only year 2 for him, he has plenty of time to grow into a good offensive lineman.
