I'm glad for the win no doubt but I can't help but think that the 8 or 9 injured FL players had a lot to do with our win. Yes we were dominate in the first half and I can see Heupel not wanting to take too many chances with a couple of potential picks by going downfield and giving the Gators a reason to get back in the game. I can also see running the football and taking time off the clock to reduce their chances of coming back. However, right before half I saw no good reason not to punch the ball into the end zone and go up by 35. The dagger was there for the taking. Can't be like that against Vandy. Take away any chance for a comeback.

And yet, when we tried to tell them that Tennessee will win because this is not a good Florida team, we were told that it doesn’t matter, we don’t win in the swamp, we don’t beat Florida, etc. Apparently, according to the the Negavols, the venue, logo, streak, “curse,”and team name were more important than the players.

But now that we were right, suddenly none of that stuff matters and we won because their players aren’t good. Can’t have it both ways. But when you are hell-bent on a negative existence, you’ll find a way. They always do.

We have some of most idiotic people calling themselves fans of this team. Our team does something that has lot been done in 2 decades, beat Florida in the swamp by ANY amount, and the knuckleheads act like the streak is intact. We utterly dominated the gators, came out relatively unscathed health wise. He showed he is learning how to call plays in rhythm at a ball control pace. This may be the first time in the modern era of football that a UT coach actually tried to preserve the health of his team to be ready for Vanderbilt at home. He could have scored at will, but why should he? To satisfy a bunch of anonymous keyboard cowboys? He has a conservative streak, which is contradictory to his playcalling speed, but it is there. WE WON THAT IS WHAT MATTERS!

This win means a lot. At UF. Yeah, beating a 3-7 team is not big, but winning at a place for the first time in 22 years is a big win.

Also, starts a 2 game winning streak against the gators. Another reason for it being big.

We have lost to poor UF teams in the past. This time we left no doubt.

Ending the streak meant a lot to me last night. Even though it is against one of the worst Florida teams we have ever seen, it is good to get that monkey off our backs.

We should stop trashing the “nega-Vols” for being a bit pessimistic going into this game. Come on. Unless you just started being a fan last week, that history was very real and it mattered . . . and until Joey and the boys decided it was time to end that streak, it still did. Any rational observer would not have been completely confident of the Vols’ chances given how they have crapped the bed in the Swamp over the years (and twice earlier this season with big opportunities on the line).

However, it is fair to criticize those who seem unable to be happy with this win.
