I was there. I just remember Bowie was always hurt and it seemed like he played for 10 years for KY. Wood and Johnson were good, could've had a great team right in there if no trouble.

King and Houston will always be #1 and #2 on my list. Houston had absolutely ZERO help and still averaged over 20+ per game.

Idk that bamma is deserving. In ‘22 they invented the story that a “bad loss” is disqualifying. When we had beaten them head to head. (It was not a CFP ground rule. It was ad hoc. They meant SCar.) Their loss this year to 2-win FSU is disqualifying by their own criterion.

They beat Georgia in Athens, Vanderbilt, Missouri, and Tennessee in consecutive weeks. If you do all those games and finish the regular season 10-2 then you are a playoff team. I hate Alabama to my bones but if we are being objective they would deserve to be in a 12 team playoff with that résumé.

He played in the NBA whenever I was getting into basketball. I don’t recall his college years but he had a nice NBA career.
