Europe is totally screwed. Aged population with low repopulation rate. We get a 20 year front row seat to see how they handle this. It's going to be ugly. Those quality of life metrics are going to nose dive. Hopefully we learn from their pain before we are over the barrel ourselves. We have to figure out a good immigration policy or we are screwed too

GE's already set up Louisville so the cost of moving some production there is much lower than opening a new site.
How would those taxes be passed back to the taxing authority?

I don’t know what you’re saying and it’s not worth looking up but I can make it real simple. Corporations aren’t going to pay taxes no matter how much you raise their rates.

Let me phrase it another way. What does "Any tax you levy onto them is going to be directly passed back onto you." mean? If a government body taxes a company the tax will be passed onto who?

It's passed on to consumers nationwide as a cost of doing business. I'm not buying any low quality GE trinkets so I'm not paying squat.

When a person spends so many hours a day locked in their online echo chamber it's easy to see how this mind virus grows. They're force fed their beliefs and regurgitate without hesitation because they have no knowledge of the alternative. Shows how damaging it is to the most gullible among us

you realize you are using the wrong word right?

Subsidies are when the government GIVES money to a company.

This is a tax incentive, which is the government NOT TAKING as much money from a company.

its still a net gain for the company, but thru two vastly different mechanisms. The subsidy you claim would be the big government option, tax incentives are the small government option. its literally less government involvement in the matter. I guess it really comes down to if there are strings attached, but on its face letting a company keep more of its money is different than the government giving the company someone else's money.
