I thought he kinda did the smart thing and wanted to sit down in that zone. There was room to the inside but not the outside. But also idk jack ish so![]()
He cut a route short in the end zone that got intercepted and the giants lost.
We don't have an unlimited NIL budgetThe solution to that would have been to do a better job in the portal with secondary players. Good secondary play would have shut people up. But we haven't seen that this season even with Boo. Hopefully lesson was learned and we go hard in the portal for secondary.
Always are. When people didn't like Dooley or Butch or Cornhole, did you tell them to find a different team? You don't have to like the coach to cheer for your team.
Personally, I like Heupel, but I do think he could be doing a better job. Not saying he's doing a "bad" job, but there are areas he can definitely improve in.
I think he may be a little disappointed in the team. You can tell them what to do but you can’t do it for them. It seems like we are missing vocal team leaders. I Said in another post that we need a Drew Gilbert. It’s harder for a team to have chemistry if they are spending time worrying about money.Anyone else worried about Heup? Looked like he didn’t want to be there yesterday, lack of emotion etc. Is the pressure getting to him?
Yeah he’s acting like a dead man walking. I know he’s not. But that’s the vibe he’s putting out. Probably losing sleep over some of the decisions he needs to make after the season. He’s never had to fire anyone that I know ofAnyone else worried about Heup? Looked like he didn’t want to be there yesterday, lack of emotion etc. Is the pressure getting to him?
I blame ESPN for what college football fandom has become. It's win every game or you're "mid". Meanwhile, the entire landscape is constantly changing and these half-assed "fans", who couldn't tell you who Casey Clausen is, started popping up around 2022 and began demanding the world of Heupel. The guy has done an incredible job of providing stability to one of the most unstable football programs of all time. Even more impressively is doing it while dealing with super harsh NCAA sanctions (if you want to argue with me about it, I got the list ready to go), and in a sport where the rules change literally every year. Navigating all of this and still producing on the field has been nothing short of incredible.Lots of front runner fans tho.
Lose a game or two and it’s “I’m done with this team”
His immaturity had a negative impact on the team. I hope he struggles. If he gets welcomed onto a new team he will continue to do the same thing. Im not hoping he ends up working at a gas station but he needs to learn what a commitment is if he wants to play a team game. People are counting on him and he was selfish and obviously caused issues internally. Was checked out Mentally when he hit the Portal and Vols gave in and handed him a raise... Should've let him go back then ... Hey but what can you say.? Boo is a young man making his own decisions in life, live and learn..
I am 59 years old. So, I’m old. What made me mad was first defensive series and almost everyone was just sitting Saturday. When we struggled at first they were complaining and saying how no one was making effort and some booed. I had enough because I stood up and yelled and everyone else sat. I finally yelled as loud as I could. You all want to boo the effort when all of you are sitting on your azz’s.Tickets are unaffordable to the younger and some middle aged crowd. You lose out when the older crowd eats the tickets up and then doesn’t show or sits the whole game without cheering. Yeah, ik they deserve to be there too but damn is Neyland not Neyland loud anymore.
