Boo Carter officially off the team

Well, he’s not our problem now and Heup and Co did everything to give Boo a chance to succeed.

As a father of 22 yr old twins, I hope Boo figures it out and matures. As a Vol fan, I’m disappointed and frustrated as I don’t think he gave 100% in at least two games - @ KY and Oklahoma (as punt returner).

Can someone explain to me what the big disconnect was from over the summer? Was he unhappy bc he wasn’t being showcased like the next Travis Hunter and wanted to shop himself so he didn’t show up? Was there stuff from last season that wouldn’t go away?

Such a waste.

I am all in favor of extending grace and second chances but CLEARLY this case was going to end like this. Stevie Wonder could see he wasn't giving 100% even when he did play. Always a moment of discouragement when you see someone (in this case barely an adult) make choices that will NEVER end well. Then we realize this is life and some folk's struggle. I come from a family of bad choices...but God gives us the mercy to "break the chain". I try daily to snap that chain...not always successful but He extends grace EVERY SINGLE TIME!.

he was sent home Thursday (guessing he did something he shouldn't have during the two weeks post Oklahoma game) and told to remain part of the team he needed to show up Saturday. He didn't show up and was dismissed today...
Appreciate the info. I've been around a lot longer than I've been a member...like to keep my internet footprint as small as possible...but been here long enough to know that if you post it, then it's gospel.

You can't save 'em all. Says a lot about his (lack of) character that he blamed it on an injury. If you're injured, you show up for rehab. But I do agree that he's injured. From the neck up.

Caveat Emptor. And some desperate program will.
