Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I think I’m just surprised by Boo. Kid obviously isn’t the brightest & got some absolute crayon lickers in his camp.

You’re a sophomore, and lined up to be a starter for a SEC team. If you just ball out and then enter the portal, cash a check anywhere pretty much.

Instead have a season full of low effort plays on film, constant negative attention on social media, & eventually quit on the team. It’s like seeing what happened with Nico didn’t register at all.
It's as simple as he didn't want to be here the whole time.

Once he realized he couldn't transfer without sitting out, he was stuck

Cause Boo’s entire surrounding cast is a cancer.

The team overall has. I get we are young, but typically you see improvements over the course of the season, but we’ve gotten worse. There’s only one aspect of the team I can genuinely look at and see improvement-and that is drops

Tends to be when a team is not coached/developed well. The discipline, attention to details, and wanting to be better just doesn't seem to be there... Tackling/wrapping up is almost non-existent, only shoulder bumping the ball carrier... You saw Ga players wrapping up and downing ball carriers left and right last night...
You'd also expect a staff to not be so poor on clock management and other manageable aspects of the game this late in the season and their tenure, but here we are... In before "But look how far we've come from Pruitt"...

Will be interesting to see how this team rebounds mentally and physically after yesterday and what they do when they hit FL and vAndy... Five losses at the end of this season was not how most viewed this team with how we started the first half of the season.

Staff changes, player development, and the Portal will be key... hoping we don't lose any recruits at this point. Year 5.

Oklahoma is a legit Top 10 team it turns out.

Bad loss to Texas but Mateer had just come off surgery to his throwing hand. Then a loss to Ole Miss who's only loss is on the road to UGA.

IMO I think we are a very talented, but young, team that lacks depth in the secondary. There are flaws, but overall a good (not great) team. Much like 23.

We could win our next 2 and our 3 losses will be to playoff teams with a win against a bubble team. Considering where the team was in April, I'd call that a success.
Especially considering all 3 losses basically hinged on 3 plays. Disgusted, really. But that's sports, so gotta swallow it.

Happy Sunday

November 16, 2025: These are days of change; what used to be your normal will shift to a new normal. It will be subtle, but nonetheless somewhat colossal. Do not be afraid to embrace every day as it comes, regardless of how strange it seems to be. From Serenity Prayer: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.

Ethan Davis, Dasaahn Brame.

Running the ball with Duane Morris.

Inability to run the ball effectively should be THE singular most concerning thing about this team.
Tbf we just don't have a Sampson or Wright this year.

Unless we have some stud Fr joining this class, we need to hit the portal hard for a gamechanger RB. Seriosuly lacking that rn. Not that the run blocking has been great either, but I think either of the aforementioned would still have us well ahead of where we are this year.

Anyone else worried about Heup? Looked like he didn’t want to be there yesterday, lack of emotion etc. Is the pressure getting to him?
Bruuuuu it was New Mexico....State....😅🤣

Like asking why 102k fans didn't stay all 4 quarters or why the game thread wasn't 100 pages long.

When Hubbs was interviewed by 104.5 on Friday, him saying “never say never” about coaches leaving in today’s college football got me wondering if Heupel wasn’t at least looking around.

I mean I get fans aren't going to care about a cupcake late in the season, but the damn team should. There are 85 dudes on the roster, and a good 1/3 of them are only going to play in those sort of blowout games.

Handle business and get the pads off at halftime to cheer on those younger guys that have been working their asses off with no chance of seeing the field all year in the 2nd half. If that wasn't the focus of the team/staff all week then that's a problem itself.
