Absolutely not. Mechanisms should be in place to break free from that, and they are. Cultural issues bog folks down though.I am not opposed to the great citizens of this country receiving welfare, however, welfare shouldn't a permanent solution and passed down for multiple generations.
Where there is a will there is a way. Sitting back and waiting for the government to solve your problems won't get you anywhere.Hmm transportation maybe.
Oh so now having to graduate high school is too much burden.
Never said it would/should be easy. It’s pretty much the same in SC. 2 years of free school you just have to be a full time student. You can take your associates and run with it or get more free aid to transfer for something more. Not to mention a lot of businesses pay for school through apprenticeship programs. Again there’s rules and requirements so that makes it tough for some.
It depends on what kind of car, and who owned it before you. I would never buy a used sports car, or a car from the rental companies. But like someone said, the old lady down the street that just got too old to drive? Yeah, but still dyodd. It has been my personal experience that used cars are bad investments. You get what you pay for .... or in my case, you get unreliable transportation for what you paid.
This is part of the problem with poorer people getting out of debt and building wealth. You arent wrong. Spending is a huge issue from top down.
The last couple of weeks, my better half has led food drive and/or nightly meals for those in our community impacted by shutdown.
With that being said, there's no 2K or 5K vehicles in the parking lot. Many times the only two vehicles in the entire parking lot worth less than 10K is mine and my spouses. There are no 4 year old base level cell phones here.
Finally someone gets it. I had never said spacey or mcdud had to buy them one. But apphead and piggy figured it was a good way to humiliate Americans on the lower end of the economic scale, a favorite maga thing to do.This is part of the problem with poorer people getting out of debt and building wealth.
They don’t have $5k saved to buy a reliable used car. They have no idea how to save for it. They do t know a reliable mechanic who will examine a used car to see what it would cost to get reliable.
Finally, because the banks won’t loan on a car older than 5-7 years, they borrow $25k to buy what they can. Now, they owe a ton of money and still have to spend for car fepairs, which get charged because, well, they have no cash and don’t know how to save.
