Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Pre NIL era SEC dominated College Football. Now the Big Ten has closed the gap in this NIL era...

Would Indiana be a bottom feeder in SEC? No way in hell just like Mississippi State wouldn't be challenging for Big Ten Championship.. good grief.

When we beat Arkansas by 3
Points at home and people in here were spewing SEC is tough from top to bottom. Well that bottom feeder Arkansas lost to Memphis and got the **** kicked out of them at home by the team everyone loves to hate. Notre Dame ... The game wasnt even close .....
Simply wrong, stat watcher, score watcher.

Time to cut more employees and raise park and streaming prices again
it's their life blood. as soon as football season is over i'm cancelling espn. this has nothing to do with DEI or any political anything. Of Disney wants to back the Gay community that is their deal. disney effect me. i just don't care, don't a vast majority of the content other than marvel.

I don’t agree with his take on Indiana, they are very good. And they would be pretty good in the SEC. But likely a 9-10 win team.

Ohio state was a different team in the playoff last year. They went to another level. Comparing scores is not the same from when we played them. They lost to Oregon in the season and demolished them in the playoffs.
People underestimate the advantage the top Little10 teams have over the SEC teams due to the SEC schedule grind and $ankey made it worse next year with his deal with the devil Di$ney all for $s.

Also screwing over football fans.

You would think the morons would realize that they don't have the leverage and strike a deal with You Tube. Quarter 4 is only going to be worse because of all the money they are losing by trying to go to war with You Tube. I'm about to go totally old school and only watch what I can with an antenna. I'm old so I've done it for many years in my life.

Crazy, it's almost like corporations shouldn't have handed a massive logistical bottleneck to our geopolitical enemy for the last 40+ years. Oh well, at least the shareholders got another gazillion in their pockets.
Or here's another take...invest in and incentivize US foundry capacity before you pick fights with the geopolitical enemy. Not hard to give the CHIPS Act a minute to work before blowing things up, but that would take an adult view with an attention span longer than 10 minutes. And for the record, TSMC, Intel, Samsung, TI, and probably others, were all engaged in building that capacity well before this nonsense started.

I can see the issue from their side. YouTube wants a better deal than they gave to other major carriers. But, I still support YouTube. Maybe, just maybe, ESPN doesn't need to give massive contracts to sports leagues that then pay players and others massive amounts of money (costing us all in the end). I'm less in to sports at the Professional level partly because it is all about the money. And now, college is going in that same direction. You want to watch? Get ready for ever increasing streaming fees, ticket prices, etc.

What they lose in YouTube streaming for a week is equivalent to 2 days of parking fees in Orlando…LOL

The unimaginable? Oregon is good. They’re not great.
Not many win at Autzen. TN would lose by 2 scores. It’s a much louder environment than UGA and Bama, both. I can’t compare to the Swamp or aTm but it’s crazy loud at Oregon. Ohio state lost to them last yr regular season.

They played Indiana Nov 23 and were at their best.

Notre Dame beat Arkansas by 43 , 14 days before we played them .
What does that mean. Nothing.
Every week is a new week and teams play up and down. Even the very best.

I go by the overall body of work.
Good teams are consistent and over the last 2 years Indiana has consistently with few exceptions played very good.
