Didn’t focus too much on him, but looking at the box score, Abram had a nice game.

Best game so far by a lot. He D’d up much better, shot it well and threw 2 or 3 nice lobs

As good as he was tonight that last minute and a half was hard to watch just knowing how injury prone he’s been. All good now tho.

Yeah go ahead and get him out but he also has to get his minutes up so I get it. We can’t expect 25 out of him in big games if he only plays 14-15 up to those games.

Barnes has been playing JP/Felix together some. Once the two kind of awkwardly battled for a rebound.

Honestly, I don't think Barnes will ever bring Felix off the bench this year short of him falling off a cliff. He favors seniors and defense too much to just bench Felix.

True, and bringing JP off the bench for a spark isn’t a bad thing.

Those will come down the more he plays for Barnes though.

Anybody else notice how fast Henderson is with the ball? I’m pumped to watch his progression the next few years. If he can improve his shot a little he’s got a huge ceiling. Imo

He’s only a junior, if he gives us 13-15 mpg this year he could become a force beside JP next year.

I was playing 2 v 2 in my driveway a little while ago, left my feet with no plan and nowhere to go and threw it out of bounds for a turnover. Look up and Barnes yelled at me to go back inside the house.

With Gillespie/Ament/Estrella being by far your best offensive options you need defense around those guys…it’s why I think Boswell (and then either Abram, Burg, Henderson) at the 2…and then alongside Estrella you’ll have Phillips, Okpara (and even Brown, Carey). At some point the rotation is going to get trimmed down, but the schedule to start this year allows Barnes to really give guys chances, I said it way back but this team feels by far the team to me that has the most potential room to grow throughout the year.

JP has got to be the most efficient college basketball player in the country after 3 games. Only 20.3 minutes per game but averaging 17.3 PPG and 8.7 RPG on 71.4 FG%.

I like the work rate of this team. I think Abram was brought in as the junkyard dog. We have good depth.

I think it will be Amaree Abram’s if he continue to build on what he did tonight.. he was all over the court today on defense, and got down low and got some good steals, ended with 3 steals… idk if he’ll reach ZZ or Mashack defense but I do like his potential!

I see what you're saying, but I disagree with Estrella being one of the best offensive options. I think you can include most of the front court in that conversation... Phillips, Okpara, Carey. The key is how will Barnes use those guys and how much offense we can expect from out post players. The 2-guard is really going to be downplayed this season. Play defense and make a wide-open three. That will earn you minutes as a shooting guard.

I see now Boswell's path to big minutes. Burg was just horrible on defense tonight. He looked much less athletic than the NF guards, who didn't look very athletic themselves.
