Can we please stop any playoff talks.

We lost to Oklahoma. We have 3 losses.
Please get over it. Let’s talk what bowl we are going to at least.
I think some people still like to follow the playoff talk, even if Tennessee isn't in it. And there are some who won't give up, even if we only have a 3.8% chance (according to the betting odds).

But ok, what bowl do you think Tennessee will go to?

I saw that Brett McMurphy is projecting Tennessee to play Miami in the Gator Bowl.

Some guy from ESPN had us in the Duke's Mayo Bowl against Louisville.

I would like to see us play Miami just because of the name aspect. If that happens, we will certainly hear of everyone’s favorite memory of the ‘86 Sugar Bowl and, have three weeks of highlight viewing from that game as well.

As for me, I will be griping about watching the ‘02 homecoming game in person and how we had that long run stopped at the one and settled on a field goal.

Glass half empty guy, huh?

How about the Casey Clausen win at Miami to snap their 26-game home winning streak.

I will never forget that series of play calls. Same goes for the 03 game down there on the goal line right before halftime.

Why does anyone care what bowl we are going to be in? It's nothing but a glorified spring game now.
I call them the Opt Out Bowls or the 2nd stringer Bowls. Nobody with any future will play, their agents advise against it. Its better than nothing which the Orange & White game has became, basically an autograph session.

There’s more to it than just the game. It actually is a great practice opportunity. Better to go to a bowl than not go to a bowl. We usually go because it’s a blast. So many Tennessee fans and fans from the other team we are playing all gathering in a usually cool place and having a big time. Get a little fun in your life. Go to a ball game. Have a beer. Relax.

I disagree with this. 9-3 with a chance to get to 10 wins is still big on many aspects. Notoriety, recruiting, trajectory/upcoming pre-season rankings, and of course, bragging rights.

I enjoy watching the Vols play anytime I can. A trip to Florida in the winter to watch Tennessee and Miami sounds like a fun time to me.
100%. You can either groan about what might have been or enjoy what is right in front of you. I’ve never not had fun watching Tennessee play.

It’s the same as it’s always been. Bowl games have always been a different animal. Some teams and players get fired up for a bowl game and some can’t. I’d rather see players opt out than show up and just go through the motions.
