Difficult to do objectively.Well when someone brings the data to show the plays the penalties were called when they shouldn’t have been and when they happened in the game then we can have that discussion.
I've never understood this. The HC doesn't have enough time to be the primary teacher of a new QB unless he ignores all his other responsibilities. Wouldn't you want a top OC/QB coach for that?Honestly, Salah is likely one of the better choices. I'd much rather take a second chance on him than Matt Nagy or Arthur Smith, which have been thrown around. Typically, you'd want an offensive-minded head coach to work with your first pick QB, but I'm not sure who's out there. You wonder whether Kiffin would be interested in giving it another shot in the pros. Sark might be lurking out there as well.
Yeah no, he's a horrible choice. He'd be fired in 2 years.Honestly, Salah is likely one of the better choices. Bama was always notorious for receiving penalties late, when the game was already decided. The allegation/perception was that it was a “padding” exercise to make the numbers look equitable.
Maybe someone could look at the portion of penalties/yards Bama received after some sort of in-game win predictive index was greater than X%?
Idk, but I’m sure as hell not gonna do it![]()

You mean next year's top head coaching candidate?I've never understood this. The HC doesn't have enough time to be the primary teacher of a new QB unless he ignores all his other responsibilities. Wouldn't you want a top OC/QB coach for that?
