Like I said last week (about Kirby) he is lucky. Overall, you have to have some luck to win a National Championship. An easy schedule while being number 2 in the country will also help. Over many years, Tennessee has had neither or at least very little.

This is exactly why we have to stop only caring about wins/losses. They have to care more about strength of schedule. Texas screwed themselves okaying Ohio state at the Shoe. If they had okayed bowling green, they would only have one loss and likely close to a playoff team. Teams shouldn’t play anyone hard unless they fix it.

I thought I had heard this year, that this would change. It really hasn't at all. I will say, (in Indiana's defense) that they had thought Penn State was going to be a good team, and they are not.

Just like he was gonna leave Colorado after last season? And after he had to miss some time to health concerns earlier this year?

I don’t think it’s safe to assume anyone knows what Deion is gonna do.

It was this. Athletics kept getting fined and the field manager refused to take action to fix it. So they ripped it up and saved money on field maintenance and fines.

two very low percentage circus catches, one on the sidelines to get the first, and the TD at the back of the endzone... both reviewed and barely one foot in bounds... they don't make one of those, they lose. Wow...

When you play like pavia you can run your mouth and the people around him go to war with him..personally I wish we had that,maybe this team would gel a lot more and we would mentally be locked into games.having a leader who’s confident in bringing the Dub home winning or losing is something Every roster needs.this isn’t golf.

There are only 65 or so power 4 teams, so they're solidly in the bottom half. It's not possible for a power 4 team to be in the hundreds. And their rank will plummet once they finish the year with Wisconsin and Purdue.

Every year going forward the SEC is going to have multiple 3 (and dare I say even 4!) loss teams that could beat 98% of the teams in the country and could be playoff contenders. It really is a bloodbath in this conference...

PSU's defense looked like UT's defense against the 2-minute drill. Zone defense to keep the ball in front of you while the offense chews up large chunks of yards. That catch at the back of the end zone was both great and lucky. But goods teams make their on good luck.
