That tells me New York has priced itself out of the market for anyone but the wealthy or upper mid class. That just tells me there’s a lot of freeloaders in NYC

I get why they would lean toward socialist policies, but they don't think through the equation. Government policy of back door agreements, promising more and more programs and funding more and more waste with little accountability. You are looking to one of the biggest enablers of the problem for the solution. It's like hiring the fox to watch over the chicken coop, which was always part of the problem in New York. Only now you've endorsed your government to takeover the means of production and distribution by mandate of the election.
Maybe it will all work out and be successful, I don't know. But the places where socialist policies have been most successful never had the issues of it looked like New York. We'll see.
You understand that the problem isn't Muslims, it's that the UK doesn't protect freedom like we do. Living in a free country comes at a price, and one of those is, dear God, can we face it?....you might have a Muslim neighbor. Or a Muslim mayor. Or a Muslim representative in congress. How will the US ever survive religious diversity?
Edit: interesting question...are the elected officials in DC today more or less religiously diverse than the founders?
That's the thing about New York City though. Many are either service based, which don't pay a lot of money, or corporate which do. I think there is a lot of lethargy at play but it's magnified by the inflated prices there as well.If you tell me that many people make <40k, I can’t agree that they’ve been priced out by any third party. Rather their lethargy has priced them out.
