New York City

Even worse, imagine what it’s like for the young women having to ride in those mobile homeless shelters
"the people that disagree with me are coming for the poor women and children" part 15 million. NYC has free bus routes already and assaults on drivers, for example, dropped 30%

I was planning for a trip to NYC early next year to see a Broadway Show - now I am on the fence waiting to see how all this plays out when folks realize what free stuff really means.
To be ideologically consistent; Broadway tickets (currently priced such that only the well off can consistently attend) should be free as well and the actors should provide their services for free to enable anyone to attend without regard for such crass considerations as „money“.
And I right?

Correct that I never asked for or was interested in some kind of kumbaya understanding with people who are openly prejudiced against Muslims. You kept trying to force that instead of "attempting to understand" what I was saying
Believing that an idea is wrong (Islam) does not automatically mean one is prejudiced against Muslims.
Heck, I believe that most democrats are wrong but that doesn’t make me „prejudiced“ against them.
It does mean that i shouldn’t be sanctioned for trying to change their minds.

As a young man I studied Islam and my knowledge of the book, what it states to say and do to non believers, among many other things, is why I ultimately rejected it.

My reasons for not trusting Muslims in positions of power are rooted in the book they say is of God. The actions described therein ordained by him. The book, the scripture they hold up as the religious and political way is diametrically opposed to Western civilization and the rules of law we follow.

MY opinion is based on both reason and experience, therefore prejudiced doesn't apply. Whatever names and monikers he ascribes are what they are, and ultimately hollow and meaningless.

As far as your average Muslim, I treat them no differently than I would anyone else. I don't call them names, I don't wish any ill on them. I'm flawed as anyone else is. I am not superior to any other human being.

Drivers were being assaulted bc they were trying to collect the fares.

That is BS. You don't know the "Muslim in a position of power," but you distrust him before knowing anything else about him which is by definition prejudice. It doesn't matter if it's based on "reason and experience"

And the discussion originally was whether Islamophobia would draw more backlash than antisemitism, which has a very clear answer - one that KB agreed with when he said people look at Islam differently than other religions - before it got drowned in this other "here's why I distrust Muslims" rambling that I never asked for and isn't relevant

Interesting take - I am sure that those who make their living via entertainment be it Broadway or concerts desire to keep that part of capitalism alive. It is why when those that have money speak of the greatness of socialism, I roll my eyes because I can guarantee they are not talking about giving up the part of capitalism that made them their fortune.

As for the tickets, I was shocked at the prices. This would be my first time as some younger family members want to see the Harry Potter show.

I would suggest looking into lottery or rush tickets too, or the TodayTix app or TKTS app/booths, each of which may take a little luck but can help you find cheaper prices

deserving it is an actual threshold. it is possible, and repeatedly been the case, where neither of the two majors deserved it.
And when neither of the two majors deserve it?

You say sit it out....or vote for a non viable 3rd party?

I agree, if and when the two majors are anywhere near equally undeserving.

But in cases where one is far more undeserving (trump) than the other (anyone), it makes no sense to do anything other than vote for the most viable alternative.

I guess it boils down to you seeing the differences between trump and others as being far less significant than do I.

trump was/is/and it unfortunately appears always will be an unacceptable low in my view.

You could drop assaults by 100% by jailing the animals. There’s always some new excuse you can provide for catering to the worst of the worst. Eradicate the disease instead of trying to ease the pain.
