Another benefit: as you get older, you will ultimately forget Step 2, whichever it is.

It is a whole lot easier to overcome an undone button. 😉

When I was a kid our home number was 877-8087.
I hated calling home.

You know those recurring dreams that we all have? I've actually found others have some of the same ones - like you are in serious trouble because it's way past the drop date, you haven't been to class, and you realize that's caught up and you have no clue when or where the class is. One of mine is dialing an old rotary phone and my finger slips, so I have to start all over again, and the problem continues to repeat - just couldn't have low digits to work with either. Doesn't happen much anymore, but there's that sense of urgency/frustration and the fingers won't cooperate - like the legs when trying to run from snakes.

Finger slips and you couldnt get all your digits to work? sounds like a Dallas problem.

IRL high school was a breeze for me, while I barely graduated college.

yet, my reoccuring school "nightmares" involve having to repeat high school, not college. like 36 y.o. Louder has to show to HS and share a locker with some dweeb while also working a full time job.

I don't think for a minute that we really have a championship team this year, but have you really thought about the resume that the bigwhatever teams at the top have? IN has played OR and IL (for what that's worth). OR lost to IN, and the only other "ranked" team on the agenda was PN St which due to bigwhatever bias started way overranked. Toss U got by TX in the first game and has only played PN St; TX was never what the prognosticators thought preseason. Bigwhatever teams at the top play nobodies in and out of the conference all year. Toss U might actually be good, but they rarely risk losing during the season which isn't t all like SEC play. The real kicker is that they have goaded the SEC into upping the end game of Russian roulette by adding another conference game.

To be honest about the TX resume, got a feeling that Sark is a pretender like Jimbo, Kelley, and several other "top" coaches, and given time it will show. TX is likely an upper tier team right now because of the fertile recruiting grounds.

I haven't had the rotary phone dream, but I've had that dream about class. Another variation of that dream is that you've been skipping that class for a while, and then you show up one day to discover that it's final exam day.
