Yes, LSU is a top 5 job. However, the knowledge that they are perfectly willing to fire their head coach in the middle of the season once the playoffs are no longer in play, the Interim AD immediately stating publicly that they should be in the playoffs every season, and the Governor of the state publicly announcing the AD would not be making the next hire followed by the AD being fired would tell me that Heupel would have absolutely no interest in heading down there, if he were to even be offered the job.
They fired Kelly because Penn State started this coaching carousel arms race.
And the Governor correctly put the AD in the penalty box because of the two football hires he has made that got paid $125M+ to not coach at their jobs.
Regardless of all that "Stuff" going on, LSU is still a top 5 job.
