Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

You know that video is what's always worried me about living near an airport. My grandparents lived near the Nashville airport, Mom lives in that house now. When they expanded and built the first of the new runways on the south end it is about a qtr to half mile as the crow flies from that house.

After my grandparents died I lived in the house for a couple of years, then meet my wife and we moved to Ashland City. It took me months to get used to the quiet, when you get used to plane engines it's amazing how long it takes you to get used to their absence.

I have family down by the island home airport. I always worried one of those small planes would make a visit through their attic.

I grew up in Antioch, on the other side if the runway I mentioned earlier......a little further out but general direction.

When I was in my late teens an Air force jet went down a block over from us. I believe it was a tomcat but not sure. Killed some people we knew of, and the pilots, one of our neighborhood friends found the majority of one of the pilots still buckled in his seat and lead first responders to it about 50 yards from the crash near a treehouse we used to smoke in.

That was wild too

When did that happen? I don’t remember that.

If it didn't work let me know, I struggle to link video. You can Google air force plane crash Antioch 96

That's how I found it.

It didn't get a lot of publicity, one of my buddies father's who was one of the top dogs at the National Guard outfit in Smyrna told us it was because it was a foul up by the pilot and brass overseeing the outfit. After that video I understand why he said that now.

Just got done Firing coach Kim. (Boy that got heated)
Who else can I fire. Surely there's a track coach or something over there that's worthy of firing.
I admire your arthritic fingers that could keep up with all the strongly worded emails you had to send to get that all done.
