Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

I think the essence of those discussion was it wasn't really a possibility. He can appeal but it will end up like Zeigler's after BB season last year.
yea, but ZZ was pre Pavia. The article I provided was dated Sept 2025. The case for Pavia was dismissed few weeks ago because he was granted a preliminary injuction to play and the courts dismissed the case as he is already playing, The NCAA would of probably lost, just based on the court providing temporary relief, and Aguilar could easily follow Pavia’s course.

Yessir…he was a “change-up” QB in HS, and won the starting job part of the way through his freshman year of college. He then promptly got hurt (throwing shoulder).

Played WR, and then finally DB his last 3 years. Also played a lot of special teams…on kickoff, as a holder, and a long snapper. Oh yeah…returned kicks too.

Now to your question…🤣
which high school?

BB game tonite..FF or Bust! if not I am moving to McMinnville and usher their HS games.

Good decision. I don't know anybody who has moved on from McMinnville ever admitting to being from McMinnville. I'll admit to being born there something over 79 years ago and living on and off (including now) in Warren Co - but never McMinnville. The wife's house (if we ever get finished and moved) is actually in Bedford Co but closer to Tullahoma than Shelbyville. To get there from Tullahoma you go from Coffee to Moore to Bedford Co.

We kinda had a blowout this morning when she was telling me I wasn't getting things done at her house. I reminded her that last week were were in or travelling to Chattanooga to her dental appointment - 3 days, plus 1 day lost for her PT appointment ... in McMinnville. Forgot what was on the other weekday. It's been like that every week it seems, and you can't agree to meet with a contractor 30 miles away when your schedule isn't actually yours. She was in a much better mood after PT and mine deteriorated after a grocery run to Walmart ... in ^%(** McMinnville.

Even in DivIII where he was, the speed and complexity is a big step up. In HS frequently your best athletes are at QB…and the offense is simplified to let them shine. Not so in college. That was my son’s biggest challenge coming in…so he volunteered to play Scout team qb, which none of the other freshmen wanted to do. It really slowed the game down for him, and made the transition a lot easier. Film study becomes huge, and you can quickly tell who has the “brain” for the game and who is just an athlete.

I cannot imagine what it’s like for the freshman coming into the SEC.
I appreciate more and more the wisdom of freshman football teams and no freshmen on the teams like back in the 60s. It gave freshmen the opportunity to adapt to a major change in lifestyle, and coaches get a chance to better evaluate freshmen since they aren't being shorted the practice time that necessarily goes to upperclassmen. Guys like Dewey Warren got a year at UT with more individualized coaching before ever having to compete for a starting job. That approach would probably tend to keep both Merklinger and MacIntyre in the fold next year, too; neither has seen the field much since very early in the season.

A word of warning for those of you who stream. Netflix has a "highly rated" movie called something like "House of Dynamite". Don't bother; it's like a joke told three times with a different perspective and then it just ends - there's no punchline. Complete waste of time. Not sure what exactly is considered "artistic" talent these days, but it just isn't there for the most part.

Thanks for this keep up the good fight.

Thanks also folks for telling me to try the reply instead of quote function. It worked. This time anyway 😆

My phone had 5501 inactive tabs still open i guess? I dont even know how i got to where i was...but it said 5501 inactive tabs. So I closed them. All in my browser somehow. Its an absolute miracle that my phone was working at all especially 8 years old. Galaxy phones are indestructible

Lol.

That's gotta be some kind of record.

I don't even know how to prevent it from happening again. I could explain to a fellow Galaxy user how I operate but i know Iphones are so incredibly different that I can't even place a phone call on one. My wife and daughter both have apples and they dont ever have to worry about me messing in their phones because I feel like a gorilla holding a graphing calculator when hold theirs to take a picture for them etc. Everything is backwards and in the wrong place. Apparently i need to go to my explorer every week or so and close all the tabs again. Will figure it out eventually. I never, ever use internet explorer because I made a shortcut on my homescreen to VN and have all the other stuff i use there too. So it seems like whenever i am closing VN, it is only closing the most recent tab from whatever thread and leaving all the previous tabs open even though I cant see them. So those add up pretty quickly 😆
