It doesn’t really matter but there is nothing there to claim that they are good team. I’m not really worried about this individual game but the lack of outside shooting concerns me.

I wish Barnes would listen to Hurley talk about switching to more of an offensive centric approach bc you have to be too perfect in the tournament using Barnes style of play.

To be clear I think Alabama should win but Alabama isn't some great juggernaut this year. OU beat them last year and this years team is much better than they had last year. I just think OU could give Alabama's OL and Ty Simpson fits. Force a couple turnovers like they did with us and who knows. If Alabama plays a clean game they should prevail but I think Oklahoma can make them one dimensional. I also hate Alabama with a passion and will be cheering on Oklahoma so part of me is hoping to speak it into existence.

I think this team is more talented than most Rick has had at Tennessee. Good thing is he is a fundamentals coach so that should take care of itself as the season goes along with these guys

We just don’t have outside shooting. I hope Ethan Burg may be able to give us that. I think Barnes will have a good season and make the tournament. We won’t be able to go very far due to our lack of outside shooting.

Gillespie shot 41% from 3 last year. Abrams shot 37% last year. Burg and Ament can also both shoot the 3. It’s too early to say this team has no outside shooting. We have 9 new players, really 10 if you consider how Estrella has barely played.
