No one knows if either of these 2 QB's will be here next year.
You play to win every game this year. Next year will be here and you play to win every game that season.

I agree. Even from a recruiting standpoint—what looks better given the best and worst case scenarios…10-3 with a bowl win or 7-6 with a bowl loss because you wanted to break in new talent?

Question… did anyone of you who are saying Nico was terrible last season, were you you saying he was terrible before he decided to transfer? Some how I doubt it.

UT’s win total was set at 9.5 (same as Bama’s) before he transferred.

What's very concerning to me about Hype, this is his 5yr and not one of his qb recruits has started a game. Concerning about his evaluation of qb. All of Hypes starters have been transfers.

He's not getting 7 figures. When Nico left, he was bumped up to 40k. Not sure he's been given much more. Atleast that's what the VQ guys said.

I think the era of 5* QBs being heavily recruited by the big schools and paying high NIL may be coming to an end.
If you're spending big money, may as well spend on a experienced QB with 2yrs of eligibility and spend the other NIL on 5* players that are able to play Day 1 in other positions unless something can be done about the portal

If we don't we would have at least tried, Mac has not been given a chance to see what he can do. It was said coach wanted him to put on some weight before playing, meaning there was no way, regardless of how he practiced he was going to be the starter. Since this season is gone, anyways, why not give him a chance? I am meaning gone as far as playoff is concerned. Me nor you know how Mac would do because we have not seen enough of him. I do know he wants to be at UT and was highly sought after. I just think it would be good to see how he does in a live game.

Not really. He lost one of the top QB’s in the country, two starting WR to the draft. 2023 was very much a rebuilding year because of all the folks we lost to the NFL. No one in their right mind had 2023 as a “rebuilding” year off the back of a playoff season.
