Israel vs Palestinians II

The point of this is that people keep pearl-clutching about Islam "seeping into" our laws or government when, if anything, it's Christianity actually doing that. It's incredibly hypocritical
They’re not complaining about seeping. They’re complaining about replacing with shitreia

But you knew that. You’re just dishonest

Where in this country has the law been "replaced with sharia" for people to complain about it? Since you bring up honesty I'm sure I'll get a real response

Not everybody pays a specific religious tax though, it's a specific tax only imposed on non Muslims.

I think my biggest problem with Islam is that the religion is the law. Most Islamic countries have religious courts.

As I've stated elsewhere I have no problem with Muslim people, I would think most are good people. I would not like to see some of their religious culture described above creep into our society however.
The Muslims paid zakat and the non-Muslims paid jizya so everyone got to pay tax. It would indeed be onerous if the rates were higher for the non-Muslims.
The majority and significant minority Muslim countries I know have civil courts for criminal and most civil matters for everyone. There are sharia courts for things like inheritance and divorce for Muslims only, and civil courts for such matters for everyone else. That's except for Aceh province in Indonesia, which does criminal justice for Muslims in sharia court and for everyone else in civil court.

Maybe not, but that's beside the point and I'm not sure evangelicals are meaningfully better on them either
I get the argument. The juxtaposition of the two religions and the "log in the Christian eye" calling out the "splinter in the muslim's eye".
But the record between the countries predominantly one or the other with those issues is especially damning for Muslims.

They are in those countries that place less importance on religious observance.
Are there predominantly Christian countries with high importance on religious observance where it is on par with predominantly Muslim countries?

That's not something debatable. Christianity has made us slower to accept gay people, abortion, etc. and Turning Point's mission in part was to spread that further. Lots of evangelicals want essentially a theocracy while the same people act like sharia law is just around the corner
LOL Islam doesn't accept homosexuality you dolt. They just don't advertise that they will kill them.... oh wait.

The study passed peer review.
I get that it’s devastating to your normal dipshitery but the fact remains that Sheri’s law has been attempted to be introduced in 23 states.

I leave you as I found you.

I read the "top case" in their study and it wasn't close to introducing sharia law, which is what happens when your source is a whacko think tank. Being so invested in hyperpartisan idiocy to think it's "devastating" is (or should be) embarrassing for you

I believe the Philippines, Uganda and elsewhere in Africa, and Central America.
You didn't define "religious observance". Are those countries more rigorous than westernized (for lack of a better term)?
