It’s true of a lot of coaches. You have to be good enough to be in the conversation but the ball takes funny bounces. You can usually find a win or two along the way that makes a championship. Those that win multiple times seriously reduce the likelihood it was luck.I mean technically you could say that about a lot of people. Orgeron lucked into a championship because of Burrow
But he was a great football coach. I along with everyone else would get frustrated as hell with him, f’ing 3rd down quick kicks, but he knew how to head coach. In that era, would never work now.Majors had trouble playing the best players over loyalty to those who “paid their dues.” He did win a title……with Tony Dorset.
True but they don’t win it without him.And one player does not win a championship. And Dorsett is in my top 5 favorite football players.
