I hope so.Josh Heupel without Danny white is not nearly as successful.
Our NiL is incredible. We don’t have half the o line without it. Or many of our top players.
Danny won’t let football not win. Much like every other program is a title contender.
I expect big changes to staff now. Danny hasn’t had to force it with us making the playoff last year, but he will now.
YeahI was at the game. The mood in the crowd was not one that thought UT would find a way to win this game. The 3 turnovers, missed FG by Gilbert, and several penalties lost UT a game that it otherwise won the stat sheet.
Heupel has to look in the mirror at the constant mistakes and lack of discipline that embodies this team. He’s gotten a pass over his tenure, because he has been fielding competitive teams. The fans are going to get restless and this can turn into a Mark Richt at Georgia situation quickly.
But if UT is to ever take the next step, discipline has to be addressed. Otherwise, this program will remain as a competitive fringe playoff program each season and not a championship contending program each season.
There is more to it than that. People will say they are excuses, but I don’t care. Joey is everything I had hoped he would be, but there are about 3 throws this year that I would like back. He’s playing in spots he has never been in previously. He’s playing in big moments that he’s not used to. We lost our 2 best CB’s, and one was a 1st round prospect. If you’re a national championship caliber head coach, your program does not have the glaring flaws that we do. Water reaches its level, and so has Heupel.
I’m mostly here but we have to address the DC shortcoming. There needs to be a change. You guys have lost your dang minds. This is one of if not the youngest team in the SEC. We were put in an impossible situation this spring with Nico and we still have the top offense in the league. The culture is great and recruit interest is on the rise. We finally get stability and we have fools on this site that want him gone. How little our memories are of all we suffered just five years ago.
This sucks. This season is literally the season of what could have been. Change a few plays and the whole season looks different
Coach has shown the ability to change just this offseason with revamping the offense. Let him continue to prove himself. This sucks, but he is our guy. He is Tennessee.
It’s been a problem every year and it was a problem at UCF. Heupel isn’t changing and that’s what terrifies me.I was at the game. The mood in the crowd was not one that thought UT would find a way to win this game. The 3 turnovers, missed FG by Gilbert, and several penalties lost UT a game that it otherwise won the stat sheet.

I hate the game. We should have been up 3 scores at halftime and we were down. The mistakes are awful and we continue to make them. We are not a good team. We had a small chance to sneak into the playoffs to get beat but those are all up in smoke. Hoping we can right the ship and go into '26 with better vibesGuess the pay check matters. It just sucks pulling out all that we did with dark mode only to have an embarrassing loss, at Neyland with all the fluff. This one sucks, real bad.
The penalties actually weren’t that bad today for us. But I agree with the majority of what you said.I was at the game. The mood in the crowd was not one that thought UT would find a way to win this game. The 3 turnovers, missed FG by Gilbert, and several penalties lost UT a game that it otherwise won the stat sheet.
