ESPN/ABC just went out on YouTube TV [11/14 it's back!!!]

ESPN, ABC, SEC SPORTS NETWORK are NOT back on YouTube TV now. I signed up for the Disney/Hulu/ESPN package for 29.99/month. Watched Vandy/Texas and watching UGA/UF now. Will drop it if Youtube TV starts broadcasting the channels that were effected.

I hooked up my old antenna. I’m amazed at how many channels I get with just an antenna. With YouTube TV I got around 90 channels and I watched about 10. Right now I have about 90 channels and watch about 2. Maybe I’ll rewatch Gilligan’s island for the fiftieth time in my life.

Same for me.

Does that include DVR?

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but you can sign up on ESPN for $29.99 a month for first 12 months and get everything you need to watch all the games on espn/abc on espn, hulu, and Disney plus.

If you do that, you're going to be watching more commericals than you would on any other streaming service. The games start out live, but Disney is adding commercial time to their "live" streams on their new ESPN Unlimited that every other viewer doesn't have to watch. At that point, it's no longer live programming.

Ha ha. I learned this the other day from a YouTube video I saved to my "Watch Later". I just went to fetch that video to link it here, and it isn't on YouTube anymore. The guy actually proves that it is happening in this video. It's inarguable.

I did find this though. This guy does a great deep-dive on exactly why Disney/ESPN finds itself where it does right now.

I have it until my billing cycle ends on the 25th. I fully expect them to resolve it and I'll cancel my cancellation. There is no satellite to take down or cable to cut. You just toggle a setting.

If you cancel YTTV, they refund you prorated? And if you add it back before the next billing cycle you don't immediately get billed for a month? I did the Fubo free trial, but haven't cancelled YTTV yet. Thanks for the info.

For me, I'm locked in until the 25th. No pro-rated refund. Signing up for fubo trial

This is one of those times that I’m really happy with the job that I have.

I work for Spectrum and get all services for free.
