Me and MRS-POSSUM are taking a break soon and was wanting to stay a couple of days. We've not been and it kind of looks like a German themed Gatlinburg to me.

Any recommendations on places to eat or things to do?

Went there for Oktoberfest with some buds, it was a lot of fun. Lots of little bars all the way down the strip, but also some cool places off that main road. Walkable to all places.

I cancelled YTTV not solely bc of this but bc this was just the most recent annoyance with them. Continually raising prices while adding channels I have no interest in. Paid to be exclusive provider of Sunday ticket then raised prices and I don’t even watch the NFL like that.

Both sides suck.

YouTube TV has raised its prices almost exclusively due to ESPN regularly blackmailing them into doing that. And what's crazy is they are spending millions on an ad campaign to get YouTube TV customers to harass Google into acceding to Disney's demands.

I get that we are talking about two humongous corporations, but you are not constantly paying higher prices because of Google arbitrarily raising prices.

How do you think that is going to go with this new stand-alone ESPN service? How long does it stay $30 and what will it be in 5 years?

This behavior is why Disney finds itself in this situation. They almost exclusively drove people from cable to streaming services. This newest stunt isn't going to save them either. People are already complaining about a TON of aspects of the service already.

I'm going to tell you the most Tennessee thing ever that will possibly happen...we will struggle hard, but somehow manage to pull out wins in the 3 remaining SEC games...and then the powers that be will pour out the ultimate screw job upon us...

Winning out is a big maybe...but it is not the only worry we have. Everybody is just assuming we are in if we win out...but I think if they get the chance, and we have a tie situation.. they will screw us over.
