Losing MLB Network really soured me on YouTube TV. This might be the final straw.

Does anyone have experience with Sling?
Yeah. Its whatever but only one device at a time. If thats not a big deal, id do it. But see like my family...I work Saturdays until 4 so im watching games on my phone at work. Usually, my husband or kid, someone in my family is home wanting to watch the same game and cant. If you wanted to watch on separate TVs, naw. Sling doesnt have a trial. You purchase it and don't like it...too bad. Wait for the month to end because they dont prorate. Its not very expensive but their customer service was trash.

I’ll just go to Wild Wing in Johnson City. Surely it wouldn’t randomly close this week….only giving one day of notice…..🙄

Seriously, what do you expect? JC is a clown show these days. People banging in banks, drunk driving mayor, bars have to close early just so nobody can have any fun.

It's not corporations, it's people. People are greedy. Corporations are non living entities. People are greedy, and people will always be greedy. Stop making the problems, nameless and faceless. I am sure the multiple redundant executive positions could forego a "bonus" for earning more money by raising prices.
The US Supreme Court has ruled corp have the same rights as people to contribute to political activity.
Beginning/end of the current American situation....depending on your point of view.

I get the espn package which is almost every espn channel thru my rocu tv. Its $30 per month. I have a indoor antenna for all the major stations. Altogether I get around 200 channels.
Can you stream the same game on the app (phone) and also your roku tv or is it one or the other? If so, im gonna do this.

In "free speech" sure they are. And money is a form of speech, too, apparently, which leads to the amusing conclusion that people with more money have more speech. Of course that's just formalizing a reality that has been in place for some time.

The folks involved in running these companies are aware that the market is too saturated to make a profit in competition, so they seek to provide the same or less service at a higher price, increasing profit. If someone has a competing product, you can just buy them. If you want to subscribe to ESPN directly, you can choose the package with Hulu or the package with Fox Sports, because apparently buying access to the competitors through the same subscription is not anti-competitive behavior.

every new contract will always include price increases...

Streaming costs will continue to rise from now on.. the more people that subscribe to a service, the more often cost will go up...

I just chose who I like which in my case was Directv satellite and switched this summer to their streaming service saving $100 a month. Cost doesn't concern me if the provider offers me what I want. Direct stream includes ESPN/Disney apps so I get those services also..

Wtf. Just read the email last night saying no agreement but we'd get a $20 credit if blah blah blah. My issue with everyone besides YouTube is you can only stream ESPN on one device at a time. I got Sling and they lied as well. Not steaming on more than one device at the same time is a deal breaker. Canceling YTTV now. Done with all these greedy bastards

What's hilarious about this is that doesn't even cover ESPN Unlimited, which is $30/month lol

I noticed. I only got youtube back for football and basketball season . We always cancel it when Tennessee goes out in March and come back around September. Its just too expensive and we dont watch anything but sports really

I might suggest DirecTV sports pack. They're running a special where is $49 for the first month, then $60/month for the next two months ($70/month overall), you get ESPN unlimited so you'll get all the basketball games PLUS you can get all the baseball/softball games too if you decide to keep it.

We came up to Pigeon Forge for the weekend. Son playing at Ripken and we were looking forward to relaxing at the cabin and watching the Vols.
Guess it’s Vol Network and the fire pit 😡

Thanks man! Thats a solid suggestion. Ill likely do that. Do you know if theyll allow you to stream the same game on more than 1 device? Like roku tv and phone?

I’ve been able to sign in to espn news on my iPad when the game ahead of us runs into overtime - I hope I can see the game that way…otherwise it’s off to a sports bar…

Before long, it will be cheaper to go to the game. Poor people will be at the game, which will make the atmosphere better. When I say poor, I mean middle class.

I like YTTV for it's ease of use during college football and hockey season which is almost year around at this point, but it's time to sail the high seas again 🏴‍☠️. I'm tired of this clown show every year and Disney ruining everything.

not so sure about that... going to game will always include price increases until the stands start having empty seats...

For seeing the Vols, its cheaper to go to road games. Went to Missouri last year and Mississippi State this year for $60 per ticket.

Is not youtube, it's the greedy Disney wanting to raise prices and YouTube saying no,we don't want to raise prices again
The finger can be pointed in many directions, personally I think it’s more about the greedy sports conferences and professional leagues and owners charging ridiculous rates for their content so they can pay coaches and players ridiculous contracts all while charging fans that come to the games ridiculous ticket prices while drinking a $15 beer and a $8 hotdog.

And that's sports in a nutshell. At the end of the day, we the people/fans pay for all of this.
