Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I could see this game being close in like 7 different ways, but I can’t see OU dominating and I “could” see us dominate. You have to think if we win this game by 3 scores it could create a tidal wave of November “playoff-worthy” momentum.
What scares me the most is lack of contain from our defense and Mateer is best outside the pocket. Not a good fit imo for our defense, now with that said we need our rushers to dominate against 2 freshman tackles.

If we dominate them and Joey goes for 350+ again, whoa boy, the train will be full tilt in the red

No, we don't want them winning all the time.

I forget how I came across this but it's this lady from Giles County who knows a crapload about its history who has some wild history to tell about discoveries of giants. Some with red hair. I actually knew about much of this but still was able to learn a ton because she has books that aren't on the internet. I totally love this sort of stuff, and this is local.

I stopped listening to country music a long time ago. That applies to pretty much all modern music, but Gator fans think this is about Morgan Wallen. Which will be interesting to me to see how Tennessee fans react.

Who gives af. Hes gonna play a song about Tennessee in their stadium. Basically gonna slap em in the face.

I know...but sometimes they just look like they have never played football before....can't tackle worth a crap...don't know where they are, where the ball is, or what they are supposed to be doing...taking the most stupid angles that a HS defender would know better than to take..

It just hurts to watch sometimes...and then sometimes they look like they've been shot out of cannon...it's just soooo frustrating..🤦
We truly are young at a lot of positions and the other good sign is that we've got a lot of talented guys who might be better than the guy they are backing up, but they don't have enough experience yet. Plenty of reason for optimism at every position.

Here’s a take: Oklahoma defense spiderweb looks like they do every thing as good as could possibly be done right? Ok. Who have they played? Show me a game where they played a half decent offense and held them to less than 30 - I BET YOU CANT. OU is good on defense but Tennessee is every bit as good as Ole Miss or better and it’s a home game. Vols 41-24
