Why the Love for Kiffin?

The story of his relationship with Sark and the lengths that he went to when Sarkisian had basically no one else is enough for me to cheer for a him as a human being. As far as coaching I’m not sure he’s better than what we have.

Hard to argue with the way he has built a good program - at Ole Miss of all places. Personally, I think he has grown up and matured a lot since he left us. Not saying he will be the next Saban, but he is definitely a good coach.
A place that hasn’t done squat since John Vaught in the ‘60’s. That by itself is impressive. Don’t like him as a person but you have to give the devil his due.

He is a very good coach. I hope he stays put, but I think it’s likely he moves on. I’ll be very surprised if he isn’t interested in LSU, UF, or Penn State. I think LSU, but who knows?

For some reason I think Clark Lea, goes to Penn State. Yes, it’s not lost on me that State poached Franklin from Vandy, but I’m guessing they do it agan. If Vandy is as smart as they claim to be they will pay Lea to stay put.

LK winning percentage at OM is just above 72%
CJH winning percentage at UT is just above 71%

LK one top 10 finish in that time with two more years
CJH two top finishes in two less years

LK 0 CFP appearances and likely this year
CJH 1 and still alive for another

CJH took over a far worse situation. The **** CJH gets is stupid

Immaturity or not at the time he was here, he would have won here had he stayed. That brashness coupled with the coaches would have brought in the players. Could he have competed with Saban’s Bama? I don’t know but had he stayed he would have built a winning program.

He’s a great OC but needs to have a strong head coach over him so he doesn’t make so any stup decisions….of course an over abundance of talent can overcome bad decisions so he would be more dangerous at Florida or LSU…
