Everyone worried about OU but they beat a Michigan team that can’t score and played a night game at home.

And it took major cheating to beat Auburn at home. They should have three losses right now. And got dominated by Texas who can’t score either.

We run a similar scheme to Ole Miss with a. Better QB and they couldn’t stop ole miss at home. Good luck with Neyland at night
OU is definitely the easiest of the three...then Vandy just because it is at home.

Florida at the Swamp is what it always is...our offense will struggle some down there unless their defense has decided to quit, they will probably play about like they did in Tuscaloosa, and we will probably pre-launch Lagways 2026 Heisman campaign...

Why is our defense so absolutely inept?...why can't they just be mediocre?

Awesome. Sounds like standard protocol. Definitely NOT standard when you’re in it tho. But that’s an awesome outlook.

Our second baby spent 8 days in NICU for lung development. You’d never know it now…

That's awesome....I can't wait to take him to a game...this grandbaby is going to be all Vol.

Don't forget the expectations of our defense being nearly as good as last year. Complete whiff by the fan base on both.
EVERYONE whiffed...I thought we would probably fall back to the middle of the pack in defense, but even I had zero thought that we would be among the worst defenses in CFB....it doesn't even make any sense, I mean how is it even possible for them to be this awful?...yet here we are.

No one thought Aguilar would do what he's doing. Why not Mac? What if the light bulb goes off for Merk? What if Faizon is ready to roll? What if a QB sees Joey and says, that's me and transfers? We have no idea what will happen, but I get your point.

Dang we got light bulbs going off? Does that mean that the light bulb turned on for Merk and we all missed it?

12.5 PPG, not 12
in SEC play it's 20 PPG (and that's with Auburn, Texas, and South Carolina as 3 of their 4 opponents... that's 3 of the worst offenses in the SEC)

Yards allowed in SEC play is 311
First Downs in SEC play is 17 per game

They might be the most overrated defense in SEC because of 3 games out of conference.

vs Illinois State gave up 3 points, 151 total yards and 8 first downs
at Temple gave up 3 points, 104 total yards and 7 first downs
vs Kent State gave up 0 points, 135 total yards and 7 first downs

Michigan was game 2 of the year with a true freshmen QB...but they gave up 13 points, 288 total yards and 12 first downs

Now if you just look at their SEC play numbers...

17 ppg allowed would put them between Missouri and Bama
311 yards allowed would put them just in front of Bama
17 first downs allowed per game would put them just behind Bama

Now again, even in SEC play they've faced South Carolina (16th in PPG, total yards, & first downs) so the worst offense in the SEC. They've faced Auburn (13th in PPG, 15th in total yards, 14th in first downs) and Texas (10th in PPG, 11th in total yards, 15th in first downs).

I think there's a better chance our offense exposes the Sooners than we get held in check...
Offense plays like the Ky game or better, whoa Nellie 😎

I think this will actually be our hardest game left. We essentially get three weeks to rest and prepare for UF and Vandy. We should be pretty much full strength for those last two games and wreak havoc. UF and Vandy have some tough games before us and that will only help us to finish the season strong. IMO

Oh please Lord, let us beat da Gatas. Listened to Rodney Gardners presser. I'm glad he owns up to the disappointment of the defense though he didn't get in to specifics of the issues.

Looking at the DBs:

What’s the story with Goree, Stewart, and Brazzell? Can we not at least try some
of these guys and see what they can do? Feels like we are going to see 7-8 new DBs next year.
They call them “Willy specials”. I do find it puzzling that Goree nor Merritt can’t see the field. I bet those two would at least attempt to tackle some one.

I've heard about some of those wild nights in the D&D basement. . .

A school like LSU could care Danny White fits if they go after Heupel. All they care about is football. They don’t care about being an all everything school. They will pay big.
