There can be some nuance to it. I heard on radio that BK is owed roughly $740k per month for the next 7 years pursuant to the contract. I believe he has a mitigation clause. Obviously, lump sum might be of interest to some people, so maybe they were offering to pay him a portion all upfront. Time value of money. Also, sometimes, I see negotiate and think the school is just trying to “negotiate” with its donors how it’s going to get paid.
Edit: I now see a similar response.
Joey Aguilar is on pace for the following season:
4100 yards passing, 32 TD, 11 Int, sacked 14 times. 159 yards rushing, 4 TD's.
That would be top three all time in Tennessee football history. The only arguments could be 2022 Hendon and 1997 Peyton.
I am one of the nerdy ones, but never been accused of being "wild" and/or "fun".
I've been apart of some of those wild nights in the D&D basement. . .
There's a gif for that. Or should be. @TN-POSSUM

Perlotte is not elite? Dye, Campbell, Utley don’t flash? I think they are all studs and just need more time and a year in strength program.I've used zero excuses. You've just been running around in circles attempting to blame one person. I've been consistent pointing out a number of things.
That this defensive roster isn't good.
That we were all screaming for the youth movement because our young talent was elite. That's been shown absolutely false.
That Banks isn't the only one responsible for that, and ultimately he is less responsible than the head coach.
That a coaching change this year isn't advantageous for us with so many top tier openings.
That we will lose recruits and assistant coaches we would like to keep.
They said 230 was yacPerlotte is not elite? Dye, Campbell, Utley don’t flash? I think they are all studs and just need more time and a year in strength program.
Walton doesn’t flash? Looks to me like he just wasn’t coached up and doesn’t know his role well. But he tackles pretty decently.
Most of the 300+ yards this weekend were fro. YAC. Why is our tackling so horrid? We’ve had double digit missed tackles six games straight. That’s not a talent issue, that’s a coaching and effort issue.
Garner and Martinez likely retire after this year. It would be the year to switch some things up. And I think we will.
If talent was our primary problem, we'd be average, not last in the SEC.I've used zero excuses. You've just been running around in circles attempting to blame one person. I've been consistent pointing out a number of things.

Dude you and me are arguing with an excuse machine.Perlotte is not elite? Dye, Campbell, Utley don’t flash? I think they are all studs and just need more time and a year in strength program.

One of those preseason SEC media polls had Joey ranked 15 out of 16 SEC quarterbacksJoey's single season record chase:
needs 1,475 passing yards to tie: 3,819 - 1997 Peyton (on pace for 3,516 in regular season)
needs 18 passing TDs to tie: 36 - 1997 Peyton (on pace for 27 in regular season)
4 games left and 3 are at home...
Why I said I’m not actually concerned about linebacker next year. So much talent and many getting reps now. And the class coming in has studs. They said 230 was yac
That’s ridiculous
Those freshman you mentioned are gonna be good
Can't wait to run the table and piss everyone off that we made the playoff again.1st in SEC in passing yards: 2344
1st in SEC in passing yards per game: 293.0
1st in SEC in Rating: 162.8 (per Sports-Reference)
3rd in SEC in completions: 166
8th in SEC in completion %: 65.9%
2nd in SEC in passing TDs: 18
1st in SEC in yards per attempt: 9.3
Yet somehow not in any Heisman discussions...
Ty Simpson, Diego Pavia and Marcel Reed all are though... of course all 1 loss top 10 teams. Just further proves Heisman isn't an individual award.
Pavia: 2156 total yards, 20 total TDs with 5 INTs
Reed: 2321 total yards, 23 total TDs with 6 INTs
Simpson: 2263 total yards, 22 total TDs with 1 INT
Joey: 2435 total yards, 20 total TDs with 6 INTs
Also drives me crazy when folks talk about "who has TN beat?" A&M's best win was a 1 point at Notre Dame.
Haven't played Bama or Georgia. Don't play Ole Miss and won't face Texas until the last game of the season. I hate to say it...but I kinda hope old Dorkwitz pulls off the upset hosting them Saturday.
