But I'm afraid that the taxpayer money spent won't make life better for the taxpayers, rarely does spending taxpayer money actually benefit the taxpayer.
define big success?Universal pre-K in NYC has been a huge success and does not require a look very far back at all. You really thought there's been nothing since TVA?
define big success?
If you mean it exists, sure. if you mean people use it, sure. How many people were actually able to better their lives because of the PreK care?
How many of those adults who take advantage of the program were able to leave some other welfare program?
How many were able to increase their net take home pay because they didn't have kids to take care of?
Has childhood starvation gone down noticeably due to this?
Less abuse?
Better test scores in "higher" schools?
a larger enrollment in welfare doesn't equal successful welfare.
if welfare ACTUALLY did what it was supposed to you would see fewer people on it, and fewer programs. not more.
Yet you hate Trump.100%? Who knows, probably not. But I'd rather have someone who is about the right things, is willing to make an effort to improve citizens' lives and is a nerd about specific policies and bills (see my added second paragraph above) than yet another corporate stooge who wants to be mayor to get in bed with billionaires in order to run for president or whatever
Raises parent incomes by on average 20%. Are public schools also "welfare" to you? Should they be less available? Is it a failure that people who can't afford private schools still have schools to attend?define big success?
