-This Tennessee team is a repeat of The Ole Miss team we just faced. Not great on defense, but really good on offense. We have to play a perfect game.

-I really hope this is the weekend that Mateer starts seeing the field instead of what he has been doing.

-If our offense is as good as the Kentucky offense, we could win this game. I wish I was certain it was as good.

-I've got a bad feeling that is going to be deja vu of the Ole Miss game. Have you guys seen this Brazzell kid for Tennessee?? Sheesh

-We have to play complimentary football if we want to take advantage of that Tennessee defense. Kentucky did not and they lost.

-I am kind of scared that no matter what we do, they'll outscore us. Their offense is scary good.

-I just wish I had confidence in our QB. I do not.

-Yeah, not gonna win this one. Too much against this team.

-We need everything to work so we can expose their defense and we have to control the clock.

-Their defense is very suspect, but it also seems that if you don't play a near perfect game on offense, you're not going to beat them. See Kentucky.

-A night game at their place is SCARY. Their fans are going to bring the pain, I hope Mateer can handle it.

-This game is really pivotal for the outlook on the rest of this season. Are we man enough to step up and steal one on the road? We're about to find out.

-I am attending this one in person. I have heard nothing but great things. Looking forward to the hospitality I've heard about from other fans.

-Another big weekend, another big SEC matchup. It's going to be a war and the better team will win. I just want to see our offense correct mistakes from Ole Miss and I want to see our o-line cohesively play better than we have all year.

-I am worried about our o-line. Tennessee's defense isn't very good, but their defensive lineman could certainly disrupt things.

Similar to Kentucky fans... ouch.

These four really grabbed my attention.

I love that (a) a night game at Neyland is scary to conference foes. At the same time, (b) we have a reputation for hospitality and "great things" among visiting opposing fans. That is a nice combo.

The third point is what we were trying to tell all the visiting Oklahoma posters last fall. They aren't in the B12 any more. It's not "one challenge and 11 Kentucky games" for them any more. Their 50+ conference championships came from being in a conference full of midgets, not from being God's gift to college football. It is good to see they now realize that, at least some of them. [I think Texas' fans are just beginning to figure it out, as well.]

Finally, here's hoping that last fella is right, and our DLine are enough on defense to keep Mateer disrupted so that our loose back end doesn't give us away too badly.

Go Vols!

It makes me uncomfortable how level headed and nice they seem. Good thing we also have UF and Vandy in November to swing the pendulum in the other direction.
It's going to make it hard to be upset with them if they beat us. I still think they're the better team and they're the better of the three between them, Vandy and Florida. I dunno Vandy might be the best of the three.

If Mateer had stayed healthy all season I’d agree. Hes not the same guy he was in September. I think we’re better offensively and I think we make just enough plays on D to win .

I just hope this is another game where our defense gives us some points like they have been providing for the majority of the season. OU is going to score some points and so will the Vols. I think that the game will be decided between our OL vs OU's DL. That's the most important matchup imo.

If OU QB runs more on critical down and distance plays, keeping drives alive when our D should have made the stop, it's going to be too close for comfort for some time.

UT DL needs to be disruptive and continue creating turnovers. We know they're not a dominant unit, but the aggressiveness they've shown and a tendency to be disruptive will work in our favor.
