Is Colton Hood injured?
I never saw him go down. Are you hearing something?

this is the most tennessee thing ever
My dad always carried the rule book in his back pocket (wrestling coach - @Rishvol probably knows) and would whip that sucker out and not let competition continue until the ref was thoroughly read the rule on the scenario lolThey need to fix it. That's the last time a lot of those guys will ever play football. It's bad, because it's the same on the other team too. I can't believe those refs wouldn't listen to the dozens of people telling them they were screwing up.
basilio also makes balloon animalsHe got banged up at some point in the 1st half. Tried to do 2nd half warmup but wasn't feeling it. Got some work with the trainer and tried to play a couple series at different times in the 3rd but took himself out. Was it because the game was already in hand? Was it because he's hurt? Dunno
Basilio saying he will be out "for a while"
Well, I’m sure Josh will clear it up in his presser today. He got banged up at some point in the 1st half. Tried to do 2nd half warmup but wasn't feeling it. Got some work with the trainer and tried to play a couple series at different times in the 3rd but took himself out. Was it because the game was already in hand? Was it because he's hurt? Dunno

It's really is that simple. That's why last year his defense looked good. If you have a bunch of really good players for the front 4, where you can rotate a bunch to keep them fresh, and get to the qb rushing 4, it looks good. There are 5 offensive lineman. Add a tight end and a rb to block, you are literally double teaming all the front 4 minus one rusher. If your DL can still get there it works. If they don't the secondary gets exposed. We don't have the same level of depth and talent in the front 4 this year."Front four all get in the backfield to take the snap" is not scheme.
The games where that didn't happen, the defense was classic Banks.
I think you would anticipate with this many high profile schools looking for a new coach will make a run at Hype. There are simply not that many good coaches out there. I would bet Danny is already talking with his reps about a nice raise.I am very pleased that Florida will have immense competition for their new coach. Penn State and LSU are potentially better jobs. If Florida State, Auburn, and Texas open up, even better.
My BVS however will be on high alert if Oklahoma opens up.
I am only able to survive it through excessive use of the ignore feature.Sorry. This place is toxic when we are winning. If any part of the team or athletic department is not in a state of Holy Divine perfection, this place is almost unbearable. I love the Vols and VN, but man we are a miserable bunch sometimes.
This is just completely false. Bull even talks about not playing outside shoulder, filling gaps, angles, and all the issues we have with coaching. I do believe some of it is personnel but half is definitely coaching.I dont think upgrading the DC will resolve our issues. The issue isn't scheme or leadership, it's personel.
In my experience the worst thing a coach can do is pull out the rule book with an official, particularly in baseball. The place for the rule book for a coach is on the back of the toilet and should be required potty time reading. My dad always carried the rule book in his back pocket (wrestling coach - @Rishvol probably knows) and would whip that sucker out and not let competition continue until the ref was thoroughly read the rule on the scenario lol
He got a lot of calls turned back in his favor doing that.... refs used to get a big laugh watching their buddies get the book pulled on them by my dad
But someone should've been on that field slowing it down until it was fully addressed. Also gives your defense time to rest, even if you get a flag thrown on you. But protest that. I've never understood why football coaches for some reason don't protest to the level baseball and even basketball coaches do.
The only other thing you could add is the impact of Will Brooks as a defensive coordinator on the field. You are missing out. But I guess you also miss out on the insane amount of cars that make parking difficult. Much less crowded on Thursday nights. We have tried a few times. Daughter's sports schedule usually makes Thursday not an option.I go on Thursdays. Daniel usually doesn't sing at the Thursday service.
It seems pretty certain that if we had a Heupel-level DC with the talent we have, we could have a 40-60 defense even with the youth. And at that level, we'd be wrecking. This is just completely false. Bull even talks about not playing outside shoulder, filling gaps, angles, and all the issues we have with coaching. I do believe some of it is personnel but half is definitely coaching.
Is Sexton his agent? Either way, Heupel deserves a raise. Read this morning that through five years he ranks 4th in Vol history for wins in first 5 years. He has a chance to pass all but Fulmer when this season is done. And think about what Fulmer inherited vs what Heupel inherited. Now that I look at it, if we win out and win our bowl game, he will tie Fulmer.Yall think any of these jobs give Heup a call? Just to see if there is any interest?

He did receive an extension in August that takes him through 2030.I think you would anticipate with this many high profile schools looking for a new coach will make a run at Hype. There are simply not that many good coaches out there. I would bet Danny is already talking with his reps about a nice raise.
There is absolutely no way the lbers on this team are turning their back to the QB and running to their zone based on their own ability. Someone on this staff is telling them to do that. Either that or we have recruited legit idiots. This is just completely false. Bull even talks about not playing outside shoulder, filling gaps, angles, and all the issues we have with coaching. I do believe some of it is personnel but half is definitely coaching.
Sexton just has a big chess board in his office where he moves all the coaches around.Yall think any of these jobs give Heup a call? Just to see if there is any interest?
Isn't CJH a man with kids? He seems like a good family man. He has a great gig in a great area of the country. He makes good money. The fan base loves him (although not some on here). Danny White is a good AD, I'd bet they are close. Seems like he's gonna stay here for awhile.Yall think any of these jobs give Heup a call? Just to see if there is any interest?
