We will have to average 50-60 PPG against OU, UF and VU

They had the ball 12 times and scored on 5 possessions while our offense possessed the ball for 24 minutes.... Oh the horror!
Kentucky is awful. If you think a decent defense should give up that many points and yardage to this Kentucky team, then I can’t help you.

At some point the defense needs to do something different. What they’ve done all year doesn’t work.

Is your Google broken? Less than 40. Like we have in every game this season
Was a rhetorical question obviously. Hide your head in the sand all you want, our defense is terrible, specifically against the pass. Use your google to see the yards abd points given up to a Ky offense with very little talent in comparison.

Sure I’ll gladly take the win, but OP is right, maybe exaggerating a tad. We likely need 40+ in every game remaining to be in contention.

I don't care. The defense is what it is. It will make a lot of bad plays, but it will always make positive plays that are statistically likely to lead to a defensive score or setting up our offense for a cheap and easy score.

We are at a point where our offense needs to play to their average which shouldn't be hard and the rest will take care of itself.

I don't care that Kentucky took a 75 yard swing pass to the house because our defense scored a touchdown. So Kentucky scored on 5 of 12 possessions while our defense took one to the house on one of the 7 possessions they didn't score on.

I will gladly take our opponents scoring on a net 4 possessions a game from here on out.

This weekend will be a case of who blinks first with a good defense vs a good offense. Oklahoma’s offense isn’t very good and passing is their strong suit so maybe the Banks philosophy of drop everybody and play the pass will work enough to help us win.

Mateer is averaging 190 yards passing since he had surgery. But sure, passing in their strong suit.

Well rushing sure ain’t. Their running back ran for 109 yards yesterday and that was a season high. Mateer is their best weapon on offense. Notice how I said they aren’t a good offense but passing is their strong suit.

And 70+ of it came on one run

They also had a 70 yard pass play that was a 10 yard completion. You’re literally trying to make OU be the tallest midget. They are nobody.

Wrong. I was pointing out that its a battle of a GOOD defense vs a GOOD offense. Whoever makes the breaks among those two will decide the game. By your logic we should win handily and although you’re a troll and everybody knows it, I hope that this time you’re right.

To be honest, I wouldn’t be shocked if we did win handedly in the same fashion we did last night.

Heupel gets 3 out of 4 home games to finish the season and he hasn’t lost to a non Georgia team in over 4 years at home.

They have played in Neyland once. In the last 4 years, Heupel has faced 25 opponents in Neyland.... He is 23-0 against teams not named Georgia. But sure, lets use a singular game from 10 years ago as a "trend"

That’s not entirely true
Time of Possession (Offense)
Ranked #136 (2025)
Ranked # 79 (2024)

No we didn’t score as often, but we kept the other offense off the field longer. Nico keeping drives alive on 3rd down with his legs.

I’ve supported Banks, but he absolutely screwed himself this past offseason. 2 more portal DTs and another veteran safety would have been tremendous for this defense. He didn’t even try to go after anyone.

He let go of
- Jacobe Thomas
- Christian Charles
- Jon Slaughter
- lost Will Brooks to graduation.

And didn’t try to get an experienced safety in the portal. He didn’t even try…
How do you if he "tried" or not? or what conversations were had with Thomas?
