In a Fateful 30 Seconds ...

On the cold afternoon of October 26, 1881, four men in long black coats strode purposefully down the dusty Fremont Street. Around the corner, in a narrow vacant lot behind the O.K. Corral, waited six cowboys. In a fateful thirty seconds, nearly thirty shots were fired at close range. The gunbattle between the Earps – lead by Marshal Virgil Earp, his brothers Wyatt and Morgan and their friend, Doc Holliday – and the Clanton-McLaury gang left Billy Clanton and the McLaury brothers dead and Virgil, Morgan, and Doc wounded.

Today we frame this event as a legendary example of Western vigilante justice, where lawmen preserving the peace faced down cattle rustlers suspected of robbing a Wells Fargo stagecoach. But the historical backdrop for this deadly tension is far more complex. After the Civil War, rapid growth in the American industrial economy spurred an interest in Westward expansion. Boomtowns like Tombstone provided fertile ground for the continuation of the war's sectional strife in the Western territories. Wealthy Northern mine owners and businessmen jockeyed with Southern cowboys from Texas for control and power. Each faction brought its economic, political, and social conflicts to the Arizona Territory – and to the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral.

They should make a movie about this. . .

Offensive Line is not near as good since they started all the rotating. Joey low key had pressure on him alot last night and the run blocking was laughable. Not to mention the 10 penalties the OL commit every week.
I don’t know how to judge them based off the crew showing our run action on most pass plays. A quick, elite d tackle will feast on that guard abandoning the hole like that. Then you’re asking your guard to become a tackle out there. I know it’s served its purpose by freezing the ‘backers and safeties, but it’s definitely risky.

It’s going to come down to what we thought before the season.

We aren’t losing to Ok at home and at night. Throw in dark mode and we’ll win. Also I don’t want to hear Vandy is going to beat us. Not one person here believes that! Somehow someway we would eat Vandy.

It’s gonna come down to doing something we haven’t done since 03, beat the f-ing Gaturds at their place! Just as we all thought before the season began.

Says on the Google machine 12.5 months is the average return time for NFL players
Google also says what I said.

That’s different. If they tear it in August, they can’t return for 12 months. What’s the average return time for someone who tears it in January?

VQ reported that he was running and cutting in August if I remember right. I hope he does whatever is best for his health and future

I haven’t seen College Gameday announce its destination for next week. Tennessee-Oklahoma is by far the biggest top 25 matchup.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Gameday returns but it may choose its annual FCS school this week or a group of 5 matchup (Navy-North Texas). We should find out soon.
It’s a pretty rough football weekend. I would only choose us because of the storyline with Heupel. But they pretty much picked OU last year because of that. I think they pick a FCS matchup.

I got bad news: Tennessee’s offense last season was 17th in ypg and 15th in ppg.

Tennessee’s defense this season is ranked 100+ in both.

2024 Offense >>>>>> 2025 Defense

Agree but it’s wild when you break down the offensive numbers from last year.

2024 SEC play we averaged 25 ppg.

In non-con play we averaged 61.75 ppg.

Even adding in OSU it was 52.8 ppg in non-conference play.

Blows my mind we have fans that get bent out of shape over the way our football Head coach looks. I dont care if he weighs 600 pounds and we have to wheel him to the sidelines on a hospital bed while looking like a caveman. If he wins games, I don't care. Criticizing someone because they dont look how YOU want them to is so dumb.
interesting that's all you got out of that post...

They’re stupid if they don’t fire BK. With what LSU has to offer, there’s 0 excuse to not be fighting for a natty, or at bear minimum a playoff spot, annually by this point in his tenure. He’s the most overrated coach who has never won anything worthwhile in his career. I’m baffled by those who think he’s good.
