Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

throws make themselves happen in stride, awareness to move in pocket is automated by magnetic skates, four rushing td's happens as the table shakes and makes figures move around randomly.

Go-go Gadget TV gives in game vision to Huepel. Animatronics handle the pass catching.
Really we're just running the Showbiz offense

Not the biggest fan, plays in a system, tries to do too much, simple system.

Someone needs to torch Greg Mcelroy publicly.
He aint skeered to stay in the pocket and throw it either. There have been times I thought it was gonna be impossible for him to get the throw off, but he does. Nerves of still.

This has been a problem since Heupel took over. We don’t match up well against good QB’s. Last year, Pavia was the only good QB we beat. Green, Beck, and Howard beat us and two of them convincingly.
2 of those 3 QBs were surrounded by top-3 talent on both O and D. And nobody beat OSU once they shifted.

Green didn't beat us. We held them to 19 points on the road.

Because our secondary (minus 2 players) is so bad, the two turnovers and drive before the half were the difference. Otherwise this would’ve been a nerve wracking game to the end.

If Heupel wants to win a championship he will need to correct our DC and CB coaching and recruiting.

Bryce Young - elite college QB
Jayden Daniels
Anthony Richardson
Will Levis
Spencer Rattler
Jalen Milroe

Avenged Green loss. Klubnik and Lagway were supposed to be good.

Beat the world's darling Pavia last year

Edit: meant to add earlier that I do agree with your point about DB recruiting/development/retainment needing to improve. This offseason was a disaster

I haven’t seen College Gameday announce its destination for next week. Tennessee-Oklahoma is by far the biggest top 25 matchup.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Gameday returns but it may choose its annual FCS school this week or a group of 5 matchup (Navy-North Texas). We should find out soon.
I'm sure this will be the week they go to an FCS team. I wish they'd wait til as late as possible and send those clowns to Montana, North Dakota, or buffalo when it's about -20 outside.

Kiffen will find a way. They were 100% playoff bound last year and lost to florida.

I could see them losing to SC, UF, or Mississippi state. Mississippi state will eventually close out a game.

We still have a 90% chance to make the playoff at ten wins. We will get in if we win out, I’m more concerned about how we can get to 10 wins with this atrocious defense.
Agree 100% on the last part!

Just sit Boo on the bench for the remainder of the season. I don't want to see that BS anymore from someone wearing orange and white... WASTE of talent.

I'll be in Knox tomorrow with a couple Uhaul's at Banks crib, if anyone wants to chip in and help with the move...

We can't tackle in year 5

Heup needs to either shave or grow a beard, quit dressing like he's hungover and going to his 8am class on the Hill, and lose about 15lbs... No one takes you seriously when you are looking so disheveled every game and you look like your alarm just went off and you threw on a ballcap and said let's ride.

Joey is the 'ish, but the only constructive criticism would be, when you run, run with urgency... we've seen at least 3 times him tuck it and run and come up short because he doesn't know where the first down is or goal line. He starts going into this pre-fall stumble that costs him 3 yards.

Porthole--- DB's, S, LB, ................ damn, just every position on defense other than maybe edge and DT ...

New DC and DB coach please.

L's to Oky, FL, and vAndy incoming... hate it... Oky defense is legit. FL will play with hair on fire at home with nothing to lose with no coach, which is dangerous. vAndy will just shred our slaw defense and has a good enough defense to slow us down.

Gotta hope Heup feels like his seat gets warm after the vAndy loss so that he will finally be forced to make coaching changes... It's the only way we take the next step and keep from treading water.

Please baby Jesus let us somehow hold on to the recruiting class we have right now...

F bama.
Blows my mind we have fans that get bent out of shape over the way our football Head coach looks. I dont care if he weighs 600 pounds and we have to wheel him to the sidelines on a hospital bed while looking like a caveman. If he wins games, I don't care. Criticizing someone because they dont look how YOU want them to is so dumb.

October 26, 1881

In a Fateful 30 Seconds ...

On the cold afternoon of October 26, 1881, four men in long black coats strode purposefully down the dusty Fremont Street. Around the corner, in a narrow vacant lot behind the O.K. Corral, waited six cowboys. In a fateful thirty seconds, nearly thirty shots were fired at close range. The gunbattle between the Earps – lead by Marshal Virgil Earp, his brothers Wyatt and Morgan and their friend, Doc Holliday – and the Clanton-McLaury gang left Billy Clanton and the McLaury brothers dead and Virgil, Morgan, and Doc wounded.

Today we frame this event as a legendary example of Western vigilante justice, where lawmen preserving the peace faced down cattle rustlers suspected of robbing a Wells Fargo stagecoach. But the historical backdrop for this deadly tension is far more complex. After the Civil War, rapid growth in the American industrial economy spurred an interest in Westward expansion. Boomtowns like Tombstone provided fertile ground for the continuation of the war's sectional strife in the Western territories. Wealthy Northern mine owners and businessmen jockeyed with Southern cowboys from Texas for control and power. Each faction brought its economic, political, and social conflicts to the Arizona Territory – and to the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral.
