Going out on a Limb

It’s not the same. Hasn’t been since he left.
When we have good QBs…like this year…it’s been good. When we’ve had average QBs…like 2023 and 2024 and the first 2 games of 2021…it’s been average.

It’s not Golesh or Halzle. It’s the QB.

Yea, remember all the talent we had with JG? But he tended to sub optimize our offense…

How much of that was Hendon Hooker, Cedric Tillman, and Jalen Hyatt?
Golesh had better passing game weapons when he was OC. Rushing stats have been consistent since 2021.
I do believe he was better than Halzle.

It's actually been very different this year than any other year since Heupel has been here. I think it might be close to the same level as when Golesh was here (or even better scheme wise). A lot more variety this year.

Yes this is Josh offense but he sucks at play calling.

Golesh was calling much better plays.

End of half failure doesn’t happen and we beat GA with him at OC calling it.

Some of the dumbest stuff I have ever seen is how we call under 2 minutes.

Is it possible we simply caught lightning in a bottle with Hooker and Hyatt?

Was Golesh going to make Milton or Nico great?

There's no way to definitively say "yes" to either question.
You might catch something besides lightning if you had a hooker behind the ball.

Watching the beginning of the USF/Memphis game, along with the rest of USF’s season, brings me to believe that Golesh is definitely what our offense is missing. He is about to be a very HOT commodity!
Golesh is 20-14 as a coach and just got outcoached by a guy at Tiger High on his way out...now up to 4th place in the AAC

Yeah! He sucks!

Now maybe everyone can be happy

And btw, Peyton and Fulmer lost to Tiger High

he doesn't suck, he's just not an elite coach.

And did Fulmer and Peyton also play a super easy schedule and lose to UAB, Rice, Navy, FAU, UTSA, etc

I've been saying that since he left but kept getting berated for the comment. We haven't been the same since he left and I'll go to my grave believing that

New DC
New WR coach
New DB coach

Might help. My biggest problem with getting rid of all three is that they are GREAT recruiters.

It's ok to love him because he has a flair for offensive success. That doesn't mean we should fire Heupel and hire him. The only reason we should ever seek him out is if Heupel left for another job down the road, Vitello style
Not sure if anyone else said it, but have said I want him instead of CJH. All I said was he’s going to be a Hot commodity. I do know this is the first year he’s been this good, but this is what he built. His style.

He hasn't done anything as a HC except beat a losing Florida team with a lame duck HC

Lmao! He took over a 1-11 team and has them playing good football. That Florida team they beat was in the swamp. How often have we won there?

Our offense is the absolute least of our worries and it’s comical how so many posters make excuses for the defense but the offense has to be nearly perfect to win. Nearly every team in the SEC has a better defense than Tennessee regardless of injuries

What does that have to do about my OP?
