Wow. Large portions of the fan base acting like whiny brats this week. Tony V did what he felt was best for his career. Thank him and wish him well. DW is widely regarded as one of the best ADs in the business except by too many so called fans on here. I'm out.

I'm a Vol...unlike Tony...until I die. He left us in a lurch...so screw him. "You're either a Vol or You're not!"...using his own words against him here..HE IS NOT.

Now he will fail in this silly Guants experimental endeavor and then come back to the SEC at another school and further twist the knife in our collective guts.

If you aren't upset...so what...I am and screw everybody that don't like it. I took him at his word, I actually believed that he wanted to leave a Neyland type legacy at UT...I was fooled by his seeming sincerity.

The only ones who get rich in class action suits. Big company screws me over, I get $12, the attorney gets $12 million, and he didn't even get screwed over in the first place.

You can opt out of the class. You don’t have to be included. Let’s face it, most people have no clue about it until they are notified. Also depending on the case, attorneys spend a bunch of money up front for costs. There’s more to it than just adding people to a lawsuit.

I'm sure it's Elander, but DW likes a good search. Nothing like spending a few hundred k$ to a search firm for a hire everyone in the sports world already knows you should make.

Due diligence and deniability. You use the firm to do background checks and the legwork. DW makes the hire. If something is found on a background two years later, he says, “that’s what we used the firm to find out.”

I think it's significant that he is emerging as one of the better backs in the SEC. Having him in there more, in a groove, will help us with our offense. He may not be as good as Sampson, but he showed he can be a game changer going forward. Pair that with Joey and the best may be yet to come for the offense.

He left for a MLB job. DW didn’t have a MLB job to offer. Confused why anyone would be mad or skeptical of either.

Sad day but excited to see what happens moving forward (although anyone expecting the same exact success is drunk, TV was 1 of 1).

So...let me get this straight...you are excited that we aren't going to be as successful? I know you will say that is not what you meant, but in essence..it is what you said.

I'm not excited...I am pissed. Stupid off the wall like this and the way Kiffin got the USC job and left, which nuked the program and screwed us over badly for a decade...only happens to Tennessee...what in the hell are the Giants thinking?...this has never been done for very good reasons, but if it's going to be done, it will get done to us...every freaking time.

How many rules are there in CFB because we got screwed over?...I'm nit exaggerating. It is surreal how much weird off the wall negative happens to us.

It is tiring...and the cynicism is taking over my heart.

It is weird but I'm thinking that a lot of Florida's players will be checked out by then. They're probably already getting calls from other schools and with that being the week before Thanksgiving, I can see a lot of their players just phoning it in that week.

I know you like to get a head start on despair, but maybe wait and see how it goes. Failure isn't a forgone conclusion.

Don’t let anyone tell you the next guy can’t do what Tony did. Tony may be 1/1 from an overall package/perosnality, but the next guy will compete and win natties for us too. I’m 100% confident in that.

I'm totally happy if Elander is the guy long term; but, if he isn't, how many lose their minds and use "players and former players want him" as their rally cry, forgetting all about Texas A&M...just 1 year ago?
