I hated TV left. He did a great job here but this is the 3rd straight year he’s been asking for money. Two years ago it was for the stadium. Tennessee responded Last year it was for him & his staff. Tennessee responded. This year most likely turned some people off. I go back to Johnny Majors. His constant complaining about money ended his Tennessee career, by those with the money, not the AD.

I can’t blame White for wanting to raise the Lady Vols program. That’s a national brand. They can turn a profit there instead of losing millions. His job is the manage the dept to obtain the best results, competitively & financially.

I wish TV well in MLB. I hope White hires a great BB coach not some clown like Todd Raleigh

Women's basketball has never turned a profit even when Pat was the coach - the purported "profit" only occurred because the men's basketball program was making million dollar transfer payments to the Lady Vols basketball program to make it appear that they were profitable (much like the propping up of the WNBA by the NBA). Thought it was now '27 completion? Regardless, who would take this job knowing it's just not important to this administration? IMO, it's Elander by default.

That sounds like “I need to have my eyes and ears unbiased and check all the boxes, but I’d like this staff to remain intact and be the answer for the future of the program.” At least that’s how I would interpret those words.

DW is going to clear them out because they are connected to Tony Vols........ period end of story. He let Tony Vols go - that should tell you all you need to know. Tony was the best coach on campus............

All traces of the CTV era gone in an instant. And it sucks but I get the impression DW prefers that.

I think Elander would be the best choice for several reasons. I’m just stating that I bet DW goes after a big name especially since he named FA as interim coach. He should have named Elander as interim but DW admitted he doesn’t have a relationship with him. DW said Elander be under consideration for head coach. Doesn’t seem genuine to me…

What big name would come with the admin all but saying that UT baseball isn't a priority?

Sad day - this will probably come back to haunt us. Just like when Saban left LSU for the NFL, then returned at Bama after he couldn't make it there, we may see the same thing happen with TV.

All we can hope for is that he has success and retires from the MLB and doesn't land at another SEC school when he returns and then we watch as he does at that school what he would have done here and we are at the bottom again.
