Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Forget it is TV for a minute who we all loved. You run a business and have a superstar employee. You have given him everything he wants including making him the highest paid in his profession. Spent millions upon millions to ensure his continue success and he gets upset over less than a million I could not give to him then I would show him the door. With that said, I think it is a done deal to SF

If the rumors are true and there is some animosity between DW and Tony, and if Tony were to stay that may impact DW’s tenure here, then I have to say: I’d rather Tony leave. DW has done wonders for this university in all facets of sports, not just football. Tony is a god among men and I certainly don’t want him out the door. But if it were between the two guys, I’d rather we keep DW.

But it is TV. It’s kind of hard to separate that from the analysis. It would be like if, in a different universe, we let Peyton Manning transfer his senior year to Ole Miss because he wanted too much NIL. Maybe a smart move in a vacuum, but the context overrides that.

If you want to know why anyone affiliated with alabama should never officiate a TENNESSEE game, read this thread.....

*The gumpisms begin at post #11. Remember, we've had 3 officials from Birmingham and 2 are confirmed UA alumni.... 1 was a team captain and Sun Bowl MVP. And who knows how many line judges, umpires, review booth operators, ect.... ect..... ect, have been assigned to our games.

The only Natty winning coach we've had since the 90s and you'd rather keep an AD that's never made a natty winning hire in any sport.

I’d love Pittman here.

Think we could get him to promise to continue rotating O-Line groups here halfway thru the season? That would be great.

Has Larry or Stoerner (or anyone that would actually know) commented on the OL truffle shuffle?
I've fought multiple battles on here for Glen Elarbee...I've had his back since he stepped foot on campus. And, I will continue to do so, because I believe he's a hell of an OLine coach...his OLines have been solid to outright great from day 1. Thought they played fairly well the other night.

With that said, why in the hell is he rotating offensive lineman?? I lost some hair the other night because I want someone to answer...why on our first scoring drive, we had the combination of the five we were going to start the season with, went down, scored. Then oN THE SAFETY, IT WAS A DIFFERENT COMBINATION???!!!🤬🤬🤬

Glen, if you're reading, I love ya, man; but..WTF, dude?!!?

Sorry. Still not over it. Fvking Bama. I'll be fine by Saturday.

AD’s are replaceable…this is essentially the saban of baseball being allowed to walk..it wouldn’t have mattered what AD bama plugged in. Saban would still be winning and that’s what matters.same case here great coaches who fit the culture are rare…DW diverting funds that TV earned from nothing is crazy.when TV got here the LV’s were ranked.
basevols were at the bottom of the barrel in baseball.

I can understand TV frustration..TV has earned everything that’s came to him including NIL donations…in my opinion Kim Caldwell was doing just fine in recruiting.makes no sense why you would want to take a chance on rocketing that boat especially if he didn’t run it by him first.
