Don’t complain about officiating

We’ve benefited from just as many no calls as them. Anyone complaining about officiating instead of the defense or Heupel’s clock management/goaline play call needs to seek help.
We lost because of the goalline play. The officiating is frustrating just because we don’t get this whistle at home. I expect homecooking but still

I also feel like we have had a lot of players hit us late uncalled for unnecessary roughness after the game was over

Multiple missed holds as usual. Number 0 got held and got called for pass interference 🤦‍♂️. On the pick six they interfered with the second receiver on the play. Almost like the defender played the run. Not called. The refs were not in our favor at all. Critique the offense and defense but don't miss the terrible officiating. It all conspired to cause this horrific loss.

They affected the game like they do every year we go down there
Nope. We played men tonight. Our defense line was sucking air. We can't compete with the big boys. Oklahoma and Vandy will be hard to beat. We go great against teams that way out of anyone's league. We play the big boys, we find out how bad we are. So we can't blame the refs.

One thing Heupel has to correct now is the sloppy ass play. They barely beat MSU & Ark with it & got your ass handed to you tonight due to it. At some point, you’re just a sloppy ass mediocre football team. They’ll lose multiple games going forward playing like this.

This game was not lost on officiating HOWEVER, I for one am tired of seeing the same ole "mistakes" by SEC refs.

I counted at least 12-15 missed calls and it may not always be blatant (like the defensive PI in the end zone or a missed hold by OL), but the "subtle things" that kill our drives and/or help Bama.

Example was the two drives we had going well, and this mysterious "staley was kind of covered up kind of not, but he didn't look at the ref" and the staley "Offensive PI because he blocked" calls would 100% not be called against Bama or UGA in any way during a key drive. That penalty that led directly to the safety and killed momentum and drives multiple times.

Not to mention the 5 bad spots which cost us several first downs. It was OBVIOUS the refs were wrong every single time too.

Then the usual "let's give Bama 6 straight penalties to even it out since the game is out of reach".

It's tiresome and as the poster above stated, we NEVER EVER EVER get this kind of ref treatment not at home or the road

I remember playing tackle football with no pads or anything just T-shirts and shorts in the front yard at the bank a lot on Sundays after church. We could tackle and we did tackle. Everybody was bloody, bruised and sore by the time the game was over. It was always close, but we had fun. We did tackle or we lost.

Let’s be honest, that drive was 100% a TD after Bernard turned a 10 yard loss into a 27 yard gain. We should have refused to tackle after that to save time and get another drive

The 3rd and I think 13 conversion where Colton got the legitimate PI call was just brutal too. There was almost no way the WR was catching that. Then we got another one on the same drive and they scored. That wasn't the refs fault.

the refs didn’t beat them

The Vols made enough self imposed unforced mistakes to lose every game even if Heupel’s father was the ref. A very disappointing & embarrassing performance overall.
I totally agree.
